Ameraucana bantam eggs in the middle, followed by silkie and a fart egg from our Lucy (naked neck). I find my AM eggs are turquoise. Blue egg to the right is from another Naked Neck. No question it is pure Blue.

I agree thy they have varying shades on the teal side. Changed my avatar to a pic of some of my eggs (I can't be bothered with photobucket this was easier). This is just an iPhone pic so the ones in the shadowed end look way more green than they really are. But I still don't understand what it means if they are white inside. Google is failing me! My DH is going to think I'm a maniac when I start breaking a bunch of eggs as soon as I walk in the door.

By the way, I promise to actually take the time to upload some pictures off my actual cameras soon.
I'm sure everyone really loves the blurry iPhone shots. It's like a magic eye, just squint and turn your head sideways!

Unless it is a membrane layer ... It will indicate that they are being "painted" that color ... instead of "being" that color.

I have never competed but I know what the rules are..I have an AM who has been on Champion row..she has a tinge of incorrect color to the inside of her eggs. I could not put her eggs in competition. Her sister has beautiful eggs..my other AM would not show well at all yet her eggs would do well in competition..I would like to make consistent AM's who have correct egg color and could win an egg match..and can win in the show. Maybe some day..

Interesting, I didn't realize that was possible with blue eggs. I though only brown eggs were "painted" or coated with their colour. Thank you.
