Lay them on their side & turn by hand. No error there.i'm having a really hard time deciding which is the pointy end of the marans eggs to put them in the turner properly, then even a week later I can't see the air cells well to make sure i did it right.. is there a trick to this..
If they are waxy I would say they are duck eggs.We just started: 13 Pearl Guinea eggs, 5 Brown Chicken eggs (we don't know what breed they are) and 3 of what we're calling the "Unknown" eggs. They sit in the egg turner like duck eggs, are bigger than chicken eggs, smaller than goose eggs, and are kind of a yellowish waxy white color. I thought they might be the eggs of an older hen, y'know, the "dino" eggs you'll get sometimes, but I don't know. If anyone has any ideas, that would be great, 'cause of the week of incubation difference between chicken and duck eggs. Thanks!
