The Never Ending Hatching thread! For those of us that hatch all year long!

It sound like you are on your way to one of those nail biting delayed hatches. We are here for you in spirit!

All 3 of my hatches since moving have been delayed. Temps are running a bit low due to the new house not staying very warm. We have heaters & furnace both blowing & still cold in here. The BF did a bit of insulating this morning around doors & such & we used the oven in the kitchen to help warm the house, as well as the dryer. It actually got warm enough in the rooms downstairs to take our jackets off. We have most of the walls & ceilings torn out in 2 rooms upstairs right now so we get a lot of cold air coming down the stairs & a lot of heat escaping up. It helped a bit when we added another blanket at the door to the stairs today.

Day 20. Woke up to one pipped. Just checked and had one running around and a few more zipping and pipping! Good Luck!

So far we have 15 hatched and 4 slackers.

candled my 3 eggs last night. There is a ton of movement in each of them. This time I think i got some real healthy eggs to hatch. One has a really dark shell hard to see in, can't see veins but can see a ton of movement in it when the egg is holding still. Then two are white/cream colored eggs easy to see in. I'm hoping they hatch out to be white chicks. My mom has some white leghorn mix's. One of them is actually an albino (all white, light pink comb, white legs, and pink eyes)

We are currently looking at about 4 inches of snow that fell in the past day & a half & have an ice storm headed this way tonight. Send some of that heat THIS way!!!

We awoke this morning to my daughter yelling we had a quail hatched (bator is on her dresser next to her bed). It was my BF's 1st newly hatched baby & he was absolutely astounded at how small it was. Here he is giving the new baby kisses

My daughter just came running to tell me quail #2 just hatched as well. There are 4 more left due today & tomorrow. There are 36 Rainbow eggs due tomorrow but they will likely be late. The 1st quail was 2 days late, so I actually have 2 bators running lower temps. Hopefully bator 3 is maintaining better.

That's a good little watch-daughter ya got there! Those 36 Rainbows are going to run her legs off! LOL I would love to have some quail but don't have room. Good luck with your hatch.

Hey guys n gals, Im still around sorta lol. been dealing with moving headaches and all the fun crap that goes with it. Ill be back more regularly once the dust settles

Good to hear from ya MCF! Moving sucks! Hope you are liking the new place.
I set 10 OE and 8 EE yesterday and am locking down 20 this Saturday. Uh oh, going out of town Fri., guess they will have to go down a day early.
