Today LuLu walked out of the coop shook herself and feathers just fell off her.

When I was out doing chores just now the turkeys started calling the predator alarm I sat and watched and there was an eagle flying over them all the hens were hiding in the coop,brush and with the pigs. Goes to show you don't need a rooster just get a turkey.

I have an injured turkey hen and lost a turkey chick ( 6 weeks old) to a da^n eagle a couple days ago....

Sorry I haven't posted. Everyone is doing great!! We are now down to two ducks a hen and a drakevwe have sold a few and butchered 3 drakes.
Lady and June Bug are doing good to.
No eggs from the puulets yet but we are getting duck eggs.
And turkeys are getting big.
And Lesle and LuLu are molting.
And the weather is nasty snow flurries.

WOW!!! You are sooo lucky that you have a pug!! But luckily i am maybe getting one soon!!

Yeah, we have six roo's so we never have that much of a problem and my mom doesnt like turkeys!!

How can anyone not like turkeys? Unless she is like Mama from the movie " throw Mama off the train" she has to like them and is just hiding the fact. I suggest you buy a dozen or two turkeys and see if she really doesn't like the,

I have one turkey and maybe two scheduled to meet the axe on Sunday, I am hoping I have the nerve to actually do it. I really love my turkeys. They are just too cool.
