I think my very loving BF is getting a little concerned about me. My brother counted my current chickens and babies outside - around 75. I know the ones I have inside - around 70. I need to REALLY start selling the babies....

Mine are packed to the gills. I just bought a new incubator this year (so i now have 3) and I still don't have enough space. I'm not sure my husband will let me get a cabinet incubator, which is what I really want. He thinks I'll just fill that to the gills and still have eggs I'll need to sell. He's probably right though. :)

Guess I'll try to sell some on eBay. I hate seeing good fertile eggs go to waste and right now I just csnt fit anymore turkey or duck eggs in my incubator.

Fishing and camping season is underway, so after this weekend hatch, we'll be taking a break until school starts back in August. Until then, we'll be thinning out the flock and making a new wish list. I'd like to add Breese and Polish to our mix. (= PJ

Let's have an auction for LIVE CHICKS! You will receive 15+ Cream Legbar chicks, SHIPPED to you! This auction is for our 5/23 hatch. You are guaranteed. Minimum of 9 pullets, maybe more if the hatch allows.

We are NPIP AI/H5/H7 clean, tested March 28th this year. Chicks will ship from northwest Florida in a Flock-Lock box with Gro-gel for the journey.
Auction will run 48 hours and end at 9:30 am CST on 5/19/16

Starting Bid-$75 plus $35 shipping

About the flock- Our birds are the Jill Rees line, bought directly from GFF last year. No middle man. We bred to keep with the Standard of Perfection. We culled 14 Roos and only kept the best 3 for breeding. The Roos all have upright combs with 6 well defined peaks. They also have the double cream gene with no chestnut coloring. Our hens are mostly the light color throughout and have true cream hackles. Everyone has crests. I've noticed that this line produces lighter birds and smoother crests. At the beginning of heir laying cycle, the eggs are a spearmint blue but do progress to a powder blue.
Happy Bidding!!
(If for any reason we do not hatch at least 9 pullets, you will be given the option to wait for the next hatch or refund your money)

Auction for Silkied Lavender and Silkied Black split to Lavender Ameraucana eggs.

Auction ends Friday 5/20 at 9 am EST so I can get them in the mail on Friday

12+ eggs guaranteed fertile and fresh and will include eggs laid on Friday.

I have a Silkied Lavender Ameraucana roo over Silkied Lavender and Silkied Black split for Lavender Ameraucana girls. All chicks hatched will be Silkied feathered Lavender or Silkied feathered Black split for Lavender. Please know that technically these birds are considered Easter Eggers as Silkied feathering is not an accepted feather type in Ameraucanas and Lavender is not an accepted color for the breed either.

These are project birds that I have been working on for over 4 years now. If you are not familiar with the project these birds come from pure breed Ameraucanas that had a spontaneous feather mutation...no Silkies involved with this project whatsoever! You can read more about and get involved with the project here https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/827543/silkied-ameraucana-project

Egg color is improving and ranges from blue to bluish green to greenish

Auction starts at $40.00 + $15.00 for shipping.

AUCTION 12+ Blue/Black/Splash Ameraucana Hatching Eggs!! NPIP
These are from my pure York and Smith line Ameraucanas.
Blue Roo over Blue and Black Hens.
They lay an absolutely beautiful blue egg. Have been incubating them for a month before I sell any to make sure fertility is steady and it has been at 95-100% for a month now. Eggs will be no older than 2 days when they ship!
I apologize they are a little rough in the pictures due to molt.
Bidding starts at $30 and shipping will be an additional $15.
Bidding ends at 9:30 PM central time Friday and will ship Monday.
