The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

OK I'd auction a small amount of Silkied AMs

6 Only BBS Silkied AMs and I'll add whatever gets laid from the others, but considered extras.

Starting bid is $25 and shipping in $15

These are splits and produce both Silkied and straight, so no guarantee you will get Silkied, but you should get splits to produce them if not.

I pack well, but after they leave for the PO I can't guarantee what will happen in transit or if they'll hatch. To many variables with eggs shipped or even incubated by someone else.

Auction ends at 7:00 PM PST on Sunday.
Little over an hour left.

Up for your consideration--

10+ eggs from my Blue Am project pen.

THe pullets produce a variety of olive tones. Depending on the darkness of the brown shell. Usually light to medium tones of olive. I will include some blue eggs which could be pure for blue, or produce more lt-med olive eggers.

Payal due at the end of the auction please. $16 for shipping and handling. I bubble wrap and pack in shredded paper.

Eggs likely to ship Saturday or MOnday.

First bid starts at $10 !
Last bid considered at 10pm tuesday night EST

Hey no worries, there isnt anyone around here with toes that sensitive. Sometimes eggs dont sell simply because we are all full up at the inn. So get to feeling better and get us some pics of things we can bid on!!
I keep building new Inns.

I'm sorry I didn't get to bid. My incubator is broken. I am trading with a friend of mine some of my oe bantams for one of his. *sigh* I started to buy them anyway to put them under a broody but after the nightmare I walked into night before last, I decided to wait. One of my broodies killed some of her chicks. How does that happen? I wouldn't have believed she did it but I walked in on her doing it and the chick was still alive, barely. It died in my hand. Is hatching chicks supposed to be this hard? I am so discouraged. :(

Sometimes. That's one of the reasons I check broodies a lot during a hatch. I snatch out chicks and put them in the brooder. I've also lost chicks down gopher holes and just feel weird most of the time leaving them. I do have 3 chicks with my little Mottled Jap. Three eggs and that's all she laid, but all 3 hatched. At almost 2 weeks, they're way to tiny to be around even the 1 week olds I have in the youngest brooder full.

My incubators broken, I have 30 button quail eggs I can't incubate. I tried putting them under a broody as a Hail Mary because I didn't know what to do and the hen started picking up the eggs and throwing them out of the nest box :( I'm so upset right now. I guess this kind of stuff happens. I am just new and not really prepared for most of it. I really wanted to try to hatch some of your eggs. I was so excited to get a chance to hatch some. :( maybe in a couple of weeks when I buy a new incubator up and running, I can try again if you ladies have some for sale.

you can make a makeshift incubator out of a lot of things.. even an old fish tank and a light bulb

out of the makeshift homemade bators I love my coolerbators the best (they can easily hold 5 dozen eggs).. but a lot of people have used things like toaster ovens and electric skillets... to desk lamps and boxes (though there is a risk of a fire hazard with the box)..

[/quote] so basically I just need something that will maintain the perfect temp and humidity? I need to make something. Time is ticking away.
