The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

I will have another dozen of sizzle eggs by tomorrow. I have 11 right now. They are laying like crazy. There is 10 minutes left on the 2 auctions I have up for sizzle and silkie eggs. There will be extras also. If the winner of the sizzle auction wants both dozens for 2x the money just let me know. Otherwise they will be put up for auction tonight.

I hate to toss out the splash eggs so if by the end of auction somebody wants them, make me an offer.

Well 8 minutes left on the auctions now

Ok Auctions are over. Somebody can make me an offer on the splash silkie eggs. I'm waiting to hear from the winner of the sizzle auction on if they want the other dozen sizzle eggs

except that this discussion directly relates with an auction that was posted, for chocolate/mauve silkied ameraucanas, and whether the color would ever be accepted/approved.

that's why I will continue breeding my EE's. no argument there what flavor they turn out to be. some may even carry the silkie gene, as my roo is 1/4 silkie. LOL but what I can predict is that roughly half of my chicks will be crested and some have feathered shanks.

interesting side note, one of my older EE girls also has feather stubs on her legs. noticed it when she broke a leg earlier this summer, and noticed again when the other leg also got broken. (because a certain hen hasn't learned her lesson about stealing food from blind horses that can't see where they are going!) first leg healed great (3 weeks in hospital cage & another 6 weeks in a smaller breeding pen), so she got turned loose to free range again. that lasted about 3 weeks. unfortunately my hospital cage is currently occupied by another victim of my blind horse (his foot) so she's in one of the baby pens with a 'motherly' bantam cochin and some half grown chicks (cochins and ee's).

Now I might have got the wrong impression because I have not got to the stage of showing yet so feel free to correct me if I am wrong.... But, I thought that if you are wanting to show an Ameraucana that was not of the approved color list but was a "project color" that there was a special class for just those. Now I might have got the wrong impression but I know that there are some people showing Lavender Ameraucanas and the Lavender has not yet been approved. I also know there are many lobbying for the Splash Ameraucana to be approved and it seems that it is just some silly political nonsense holding that up since Splash x Splash DOES breed true but Blue x Blue does not and THEY are approved. So some people go ahead with color projects that are their passion knowing that one day the silly obstructionist will age and die and more enlightened people will take their place and accept the proof of solid breeding. "If you build it they will come," Is one of my favorite lines from a movie. You will never get a new color approved if you don't breed the bird. You will never get a new color approved if you don't find others who become passionate about the color and want to breed and show the bird. SO YOU MUST BREED THE BIRD! If you want a bird that you can take out next season and make a big splash at the show, go buy an approved color from the best breeders. If you want your name to be remembered for a Bloodline of birds or a new color or feather type be prepared to put in 10 years of work minimum. After that when it is approved for show your name will forever be attached to them. That is immortality.

you are bidding on 6+ hatching
eggs are from my 100% english bantam chocolate orpingtons, these are not super small bantams, less the 4 lbs with the girls being smaller then the boys. bloodlines are Sacre, Greenfire and Jordan farms.

I can not be responsible for the eggs once they leave my hands but I pack very well. I am NPIP. my test hatch shows 6 out of 6 developing and they are due to hatch in 6 days.
Paypal payment needs to be made as soon as the auction ends so eggs will ship out thursday morning
Bidding starts at $20, and shipping is $11.00 priority mail

It has been a few years, but I have gotten eggs from hoppy and they had great fertility.

Beautiful birds! If we weren't going to be moving, I would love these! I am probably going to have to get rid of my flock to move, but maybe I can get some of these after we get settled. So pretty!!

Hi all, I finally have another available set of rhodebars eggs coming up! This auction is for 8 eggs, shipping included (no AK/HI), starting bid $30. Ending Thurs. Oct. 17th at noon eastern to ship Friday morning:

This is a BIN Price is $30 including shipping. BIN ends tonight at 8pm central time.
I have 10 SQ splash silkie eggs. Any extras will be included. I am NPIP and AI certified. My birds are tested regularly every year.

I pack by bubble wrapping each egg and place air cell up in an egg flat. I put another egg flat on top and tape together so the eggs don't move around. I place a layer of large bubble wrap on the bottom and then a layer of shredded paper. The egg bundle goes in the middle of the box with more shredded paper around it so it don't shift in the box. I put a layer of shredded paper on top along with large bubble wrap so when I fold down the flaps of the box it all fits snugly but not too tight to risk breakage. I write fragile on the 4 sides of the box and on top. If you prefer not for me to write on the box please specify. If you want your package held at the PO for pick up please specify that as well along with a phone number for them to call.

Two of the splash have been shown. the roo came from Bobbi Porto stock and i've shown him twice and one of the offspring from the splash pen has been shown. The other hens have not mostly because they have been in the breeding pen and we all know what a roo does to their feathers. The pic of the hens with the chicks, the chicks are not their babies. They are chicks from the sizzle pen that they sat on and raised.

I take paypal only and please pay promptly so I can get them out in the mail the following day.
