I had some of her eggs ship from CA to FL about 1 1/2 weeks ago. They all arrived safely and I have 9 EEs and 7 SLW developing. I'm pleased so far what with it being hot during shipping.Up for 12-Hour Auction!
6+ Gold/Buff Laced Brahma Hatching Eggs!
Starts now and ends @9am Tuesday July 16
Payment must be made immediately following auction end. Will ship tomorrow morning. This is the last time ill offer these for a few weeks!
These beautiful, docile, giants are the perfect backyard addition. They're friendly and calm, and love the presence of people.
There is a possibility of hatching either Buff Laced or Gold Laced chicks. Fertility has been tested and is great. These chickens are just over a year old and laying even in the heat here in California. The eggs are collected at least twice a day and kept on a turner, in appropriate temperature, until shipment.
I pack very well and individually wrap each egg in bubble wrap and nestle them snugly. Shipping is $15
Starting bid $5
Chickengirl, I bid 15. (I hope the weather's not too hot to ship to WA. state)
ok i'll hop in here...
I have up for auction 12+ silver grey dorking eggs.
there are 7 hens and a nice LARGE roo (Gene Patterson lines).
not the greatest pic but it's hard to get them all standing together. LOL
Shipping will be $18, Bidding starts at $10.
Auction will end Thursday noon eastern and eggs will be shipped Friday. payment will be due by Thursday evening so I can get these boxed up and ready to go out.
fertility is great and i'm getting 4-5 large eggs a day (pretty good considering 2 were broody a week ago) so you will get the freshest eggs possible.
I wrap each egg individually and double box for protection
I know chat on this thread can be frustrating to some but I'd like to share my two cents. I've been on this thread since around Jan of this year. When things were hopping as far as auctions, the was less chat. I bet it will cycle around that way in the fall. Right now I look at it as we are all in the proverbial dusting area, chillin' and chatting as our chickens do in this summer heat. I've purchased close to $500 in eggs since March on this thread and I appreciate the tips and info from the egg-perts I'm buying from on their experiences with hatching. It makes me want to buy more eggs and hatch them!!!! (can we say, "I need to join eggs anonymous!!!!".. I'm grateful that Phage set up this thread this way so that can happen. There is a thread for chat but we've been told it can be done on here too within reason. No one is breaking any rules (including posts about please don't chat here) and we have the option of either place. Other threads are set up for Buying, Selling and Trading that have those strict rules and I don't frequent them. To be honest, I'm here for quality eggs, the chance to get them at great prices and I get information that improves my knowledge of breeds, incubation, and feedback on how well eggs ship from one state to another (I constantly click on names here to see where eggs are shipping from and to so I see if I want to gamble on the PO). Lol.
I know it can be frustrating but hopefully if you stick around you'll see a shift in the fall as the weather cools. And I understand if others have a different opinion. I think as long as we are following what Phage asks since that is the person that started the thread then we are following the proverbial "pecking order!!!". Sorry, I'm flowing with chicken philosophical phrases today!
And I absolutely do not mean this in a rude way, but if the thread bothers some so much maybe a new thread can be started with no chat on it. I imagine hatching egg sellers would advertise there too.
And thanks to those willing to share their knowledge, beautiful eggs, and eye candy photos of your chickens!!!!!!![]()
Nothing. I'm just sure my ineptitude is going to kill my beautiful babies... I've got 24 in there. I can't possibly wipe them ALL out, right? I've had nothing major happen. Three power outages (wildfires in our mountains), but we hooked up the generator right away each time. What's wrong???????
