The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

Choc project Ameracauna are crossed with a choc Orpington to capture the choc gene.
Choc is sex linked. Females only have a single choc gene, so if they have choc they show it. If no show, no choc.
Males have a pair of genes. Both genes must be the recessive choc to show it. If only 1 is, they are "split" and carry but do not show it.
Choc females from the Am X Orp are bred back to cross-bred males that are choc or split for choc.
To improve choc AM type, help "wash" out the Orp type (fluffiness, greener egg color, short legs, etc),
one wants to breed to black pure Ameracuanas.
Breeding to blues and splashes you can get choc but you will also get a choc milk looking choc called mauve.
The blue (dilute of black) seeps out with choc.
Some people like mauve, some don't.

has anyone done (or is it allowed?) an auction now, for eggs that won't be available until my girls start laying again... they're moulting and been on 'break' for over a month now, so I'm hoping they start back soon... if so, then i'd love to do another auction... LOL

As this thread was primarily set up to move eggs you have in hand fast, I think we should limit auctions to eggs that you have or will have within about a week.

If you would like to let people know that you will have eggs that you would like to sell for a later ship date, then feel free to post to let people know, and people can arrange sale/ shipping for some time in the future by PM.

If anyone else has an opinion please share.

thanks... I didn't think to look at the overall bst rules, but didn't see anything in the first post, so I wondered.

I've got my sfh, mille cochins and silver grey Dorkings all penned, and haven't gotten an egg from anyone in a month or more. LOL silly stubborn girls!
