That is nice to know that their is someone one out there who actually cares about the birds welfare. Honestly I would feed and water them, good thing I don't work at the PO, I would get fired in a heart beat. That really is a shame that a manager got fired, they were only doing what was best for the chicks. Need more people like them.I have been known to give them little pieces of bread when they get to the PO.. (through a hole in the box). I heard a story of a manager that was fired for taking a box of chicks home. The customer didn't pick them up by closing time, and he took them home to keep them warm, ect. He brought them back the next day, but still was fired for it. I told my management that if that situation ever happens at our PO (people don't pick up their birds), I'll call and make an animal cruelty complain.
