The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

Apparently the left side is the tasty side.

I think both sides are even now - and mostly all there! I need to take new pics. They aren't as muddy as they were in these pics, either. This is right after they started laying and got moved from the grow out 'coop' and run.

Lets try this again.

Auction
EIGHT (plus if available) Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana Eggs

I already have 8 eggs collected from today. I am getting 5-10 a day from the girls now (last 5 days),
but we all know that they could go on strike again at any minute.

My original flock came from Peachick (Kat LaDue).
I am still working on a single beard gene issue. I have a double bearded cockerel over mostly double bearded girls. I still have a couple single bearded girls, though.
I have not hatched any clean faced chicks so far this year.
Last year I added a Wayne Meredith trio to help fix the beard issues. I lost some of egg color doing so.

I would be setting these myself, but I set over 8 dozen eggs the other day and I do not have room to set anything but my project eggs.
I still have over 3 dozen coming for the Easter Hatch-A-Long.

These are the current egg color being laid.

Start Bid: $40 and includes shipping (which is about $18).
Auction ends on March 14, 2014 at 8:00 AM EST
Please send payment ASAP so I can ship right after the auction ends.

Paypal: [email protected]

I have 14 eggs collected and that is what you will be getting in this auction.

I got new pics this morning, too.

His left side is still tastier.

Up for auction 7+ Rhodebar hatching eggs to ship Saturday morning. Starting bid including shipping is $20.00 for 7 eggs I have currently plus any laid tomorrow. I normally get three eggs a day, sometimes four. I have had excellent hatch rates but can not guarantee your hatch due to shipping. I do guarantee that I will package in a way to due my best to ensure they arrive safely. I individually bubble wrap and double box. Payment by paypal is expected upon close of auction tomorrow at 9:00 PM Central Daylight Savings Time. These birds are direct from Greenfire Farms. They are excellent foragers and lay a large to extra large brown egg. Rhodebar are autosexing which means that the pullets and cockerels can be determined by color upon hatch.

I want these so bad I just cant get them. we are going out of town a few weeks after the easter hatch.....so off to the beach for us sometime for may. being gone for two days is enough to evaporate all water and let all feed be eaten. how good do they lay? I will keep you in mind when I buy more eggs when I can.

Well, at the moment they are laying well. They're progressively getting better - 10 eggs yesterday and 11 eggs today out of 15 girls. Their grandmothers ranged from 1 to 3 years old and of those 5 girls, I was lucky to get one or two a day. Their mothers weren't to bad. I had 8 I think and usually got 5-6 a day. I honestly didn't get Ams for their laying abilities. I got them for their cold hardiness (not a frostbit comb in the whole flock - even in -15 weather) and egg color. Of course, I like the wheaten variety - it was uncommon when I got mine. I would love to get brown red Ams yet... or buffs.
