LA NPIP

Bidding starts at $20. Shipping will be $14 to $17 depending on your zip code.
Post SOLD and PM me immediately to provide your shipping address and any special instructions (i.e. mark the box Hold for Pickup). I will provide the total based on your zip code and provide my Paypal email. Paypal only - no e-checks please. Payment must be received by 7am CST on Wednesday, 04/02/13, in order for the eggs to ship on Wednesday. If the payment is received later, the same eggs will ship on the next day.

My stock was acquired directly from Greenfire in 2013. I kept the largest birds with the best structure for the breeding pen. There are currently 2 roosters covering 7 hens.

Ignore the Swedish Flower Hen in the pic - they are separated in a breeding pen now.

10+ Basque eggs (Euskal Oiloa, Marraduna Basque)

My stock was acquired directly from Skyline Poultry. The birds in the US are a work in progress and some color variation exists (occasional mille fleur, solid white or columbian patterned birds pop up). I am working toward the Spanish standard, but I do have one hen in my breeding pen that is cream with a columbian pattern. Her large size and confirmation are helping build the barn. :)

This is one of my favorite breeds! They are consistent egg layers and make a good dual purpose bird. They are my best foragers and are the last birds to go to roost. The hens are very friendly and seek us out for visits.

The rest are Rhodebar and Swedish Flower Hens. I have checked fertility on all my pens and have hatched many beautiful chicks - I would like to start the bid at $20.00 and $15.00 for shipping. I am looking forward to warm weather and green grass so I can get some better pictures Thanks for looking:)

Auction will end tomorrow (Monday, March 31) at 4:48 pm central time

Did this auction close? Did I miss it? Who won? I'm confused?

24 hour Auction 12+ Swedish Flower Hen eggs - Bidding starts @ $35, includes shipping. Last bid accepted at 8:00pm EDT, Mon. March 31st. Eggs to be shipped on Tue., April 1st. Payment to be by PayPal no later than 11:00pm Mon. night. Eggs will be well wrapped, double-boxed and shipped USPS Priority Mail. No shipments to VA OR HI. I have 14 hens and 6 roos from 5 different sources, so you will get lots of diversity. They are laying well and fertility is great. None of my birds have split-wing or curled toes, but a couple of the hens have side sprigs. I have both crested and non-crested hens, and the 2 youngest roos are crested, so there is a small chance of a crested to crested breeding. My main roos, Astolf and David, run a very tight flock and the younger roos don't get a lot of opportunities to breed even if the hens will let them near. ETA - I pack very well and send fresh, fertile eggs, but I can not be held responsible for rough handling by USPS. Shipping hatching eggs is a risk, but I do my best to ensure safe arrival. If you are not prepared to accept that risk, please don't buy these eggs. Thanks for looking! This is Astolf, my lead SFH roo Astolf with some of his girls Davis, the second lieutenant Chicks from my eggs This is how I pack my eggs. It is almost USPS proof.
I just got my eggs from Walli last week. Great shipper. No cracks or broken eggs. Trying not to bid again.

Is there a way I can ask that Sellers put their home state in the listing somewhere? I haven't hatched shipped eggs before and would prefer to purchase from someone closer my first time.

Thank you!

In my experience the eggs that have to fly always do MUCH better than the eggs that travel by truck. I have shipped from Massachusetts to nearly every state in the union (except Hawaii), and my best hatch rates for shipped eggs have always come from the eggs sent to the west coast or Alaska.

100% agree!!

For those new to this thread, Phage and I have politely requested that there is no cross-posting between auction/sale threads. Buyers placing bids on multiple thread occurs. There is also the BST section for listing auction/sales. Thanks!
