The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

$10 - Just wondering, are we bidding on eggs collected from all three pens? Or are we to choose a pen? Just asking because I would like to have a decent chance at a couple of whites. :)

what are you bidding on? please quote the original post or put which auction or in the posting in which you bid.

Up for auction 6+ mixed color sizzle eggs. Bidding starts at $10.00, S&H is $13 for single boxed and $15 double boxeds auction ends in 24 hours and will ship out the next day.T I have 3 pens of sizzles. Pen one has a black sizzle hen, white sizzle hen and partridge frizzled silkie hen covered by a porcelain silkie roo. Pen 2 has a Partridge frizzled silkie roo with a blue silkie hen and pen 3 has a white silkie roo and a white sizzle hen.
Pen one is only getting 1 egg a day. Either the black sizzle hen or the partridge frizzled silkie hen is laying

I pack very well. I bubble wrap each egg individually and place them air cell up in an egg flat or carton then place the lid to the carton or another flat on top and tape together. I set the bundle in a nest of shredded paper in a 7x7x6 priority box. Then pack more shredded paper around and on top of the bundle so it stays still during shipping. If double boxed is preferred I will set the smaller box in the middle of a 12x12x8 priority box resting on shredded paper and pack more shredded paper around and on top of the small box. I write FRAGILE on all 4 sides and on top of the box. If you would like something else or something in addition to Fragile just let me know.

This auction is for the eggs I an collecting now, not for future shipments. I take Paypal ONLY.

Pen 1
The partridge hen, black sizzle hen and porcelain roo have been shown. The black hen got 1st and 2nd in BV in 2 different chows, The white hen got the same in 2 different shows and the roo got 1st in one show.

Pen 2
The roo was shown and he got 2nd place

This is a pic when she was a pullet. I need to get an updated pic. I hatched out a few from this pair last year and I got 2 black with gold leakeage on their hackles. A boy and a girl. The girl had more like gold flecks. The gold was hardly noticable. I also got a lavender with quite a bit of gold on his head and hackles.
Heres a few pics

Pen 2
Neither have been shown. The hen is identical to the hen above and I don't have a pic of her so I"m posting the one of her mother again. The only difference is this hen is a little shorter than her mother. The roo is alot fluffier now but I don't have a recent pic of him either. I plan to show him this year.

For Auction are 6+ Paint silkie eggs. Starting bid $5.00 and s&h is $13.00 single box $15 double boxed. Auction ends in 24 hours.

This pen I"m just starting. I have a very nice black silkie roo over 2 paint pullets and 1 paint hen. The hen has several black spots and the pullets have very little spots. Meaning not many spots. All the girls came from a paint pair I no longer have. I don't have pics of the 2 pullets. I would hatch these eggs myself but I'm going out of town in a month and don't want my bird sitter to have to tend to new babies. The auction is starting out low because they are not show quality.

I pack very well. I bubble wrap each egg individually and place them air cell up in either an egg flat or carton. Then place the carton top or another egg flat on top and tape them together to make a bundle. The bundle is set in a 7x7x6 priority box on a nest of shredded paper and I pack more shredded paper along the sides and on top so the bundle don't move during shipping. If double boxed is wanted I then put the small box on shredded paper in a 12x12x8 priority box and stuff shredded paper around and on top of the small box so it don't move in the big box. Then I top it off with more shredded paper so the box flaps are snug.

This auction is for the eggs I have collected over the weekend and what I collect tomorrow. I just checked fertility and 3 out of 4 that I tested showed veins. I take paypal only.

This is the paint hen when she was a pullet. She really is white with black spots. This is right after a bath and I used too much whitner in her water.

Yes all 3 pens. I have had good luck with hatching very nice whites from these two. Last year I got a beautiful frizzled silkie cockerel that I showed and he sold very fast at the show.

I don't hatch alot of my own eggs. Just mostly late winter, early spring. I sell most eggs so I can feed and care for the chickens. There is really no profit because it all goes back into the chickens. The only way I can keep my hobby going.

Idalton, according to the mods rules, you need twenty posts to bid on an auction, I suggest you quickly go and post twenty times so you don't lose your bid.

Thanks for the explanation. All of your birds are beautiful, and I am sure we will be happy with whatever we get - but I'll keep my fingers crossed for a couple of lovely white babies.
