I just discovered this thread,  right after I bought some eggs on ebay... Guess 1 week apart chicks wouldn't be the worst thing...

Be careful, you can end up swimming in eggs following this thread :) You'll have to make two more posts to participate though since by BYC rules you have to have 20 posts to use the BST section :)

I just finished a hatch 2 days ago (they hatched 2 days late), I have eggs going into lock down tomorrow. They were set 5 days apart. I have more eggs due 6/3, some due 6/9 and I'm about to set 5 dozen for a June something hatch date. Biggest issue I have with a BIG difference in hatch dates is the chicks don't integrate as well. When they are close in size, you can brood them all together!!

12 F1 Olive Egger Hatching Eggs

This auction is from some of my beautiful Olive egger eggs. The chicks that you hatch from these eggs will be a cross between my Black Copper Marans rooster and my Easter Egger and Americana hens. My birds are not NPIP approved, but I use all the precautions to make sure that they are free of any sickness and/or bugs.

The auction will start at $8 plus $10 shipping.
It will end on Sunday the 22nd at 7:00pm Mountain Time.

I will be shipping the eggs on Moneday if proper payment is made. Paypal only please.

This is what their offspring look like:

I got the worst eggs from ebay. Never again! Another person I know bought eggs on ebay from someone that always had horrible hatch rates (he blamed it on the post office). They found out later the guy was buying eggs at the grocery store and send them to people as hatching eggs. He was sued and had to refund all the money to anyone who every purchased eggs from him.

That's awful. I guess there are always people that will take advantage of people and ruin it for others. I sell on eBay sometimes and have bought off eBay, and been pretty lucky for the most part, but if I can buy eggs from here, I'm more likely to do it because I trust this community more.

It's a real drag that there are eBay sellers who will do that. Great news that the guy got sued & had to refund all of his buyers. Hope that stops him from selling grocery store eggs. Suppose someone like him will find other people to take advantage of.

This site & this thread are a wonderful source for great eggs from great sellers! Dangerous tho, lol. Swimming in chicks happens fast!

It's too late this year for me to start, but would people be willing to swap fertile eggs for eggplant and tomato starts next year? Assuming I can find a decent means to ship them. I start them in my house and greenhouse around february
