The new (human) baby thread...

He's actually quite a happy baby, doesn't cry much at all and generally smiles and gurgles to himself all day... I think it's his teeth. Plus he seems to have inherited his dad's messed up body clock... I finally got to bed at 5 this morning *yawn*

I don't think comforting your baby and cuddling them when they're upset is spoiling them, if they need you then they need you.

Baby Orajel works WONDERS for Wyatt when his mouth is bugging him. If he's really bad a little Tylenol usually knocks it out.

Wyatt FINALLY ate some rice cereal the other day!! We had tried it a few times before but he just spit it out and gagged.

He finally ate about 8-10 bites and was actually swallowing it. Granted, it was mostly formula with a little rice cereal mixed in, but at least he's getting use to the spoon!

Ethan's top gums look like they're going to pop... they're so swollen and he is miserable.

As much as I'm going to miss his two toofer smile, I hope those teeth will break through soon. I can actually see the white of the teeth through the gums so they're close to being through, thank goodness!

sounds like Wyatt and Arwyn are at about the same stage... he can sit up if we sit him but we have to be vigilant because he falls over!

Ethan, at 8 1/2 months, can sit up completely by himself. But he doesn't realize that he can't fling himself backward, so I still have to either sit behind him to catch him when he flings, or put pillows or his Boppy around him to protect him. He still isn't crawling because he can't figure out how to move his hands forward. So he gets up on his hands and knees and rocks until he moves BACKWARD.

I don't mind him not crawling... much easier to keep him out of things. But put him in his walker and he can run!

Taken by his big sister while he was in his walker today. He LOVES his sister!

My baby is NINE months old already! His 3rd tooth (top, left) has erupted and the one next to it should be through soon.
