The new (human) baby thread...

Back to the diapers for a few... now that Ethan is 6 months old I've settled into using Luvs. Funny thing, the first box I got had Sesame Street characters on them. They were really big and left Ethan's hiney full of marks. The box I'm currently using has Blues Clues characters. The diapers aren't as big and don't mark him up. Strange. I hope they continue to make the Blues Clues ones!

What are your babies getting for Christmas? I've finished shopping for 3 of my 5 kids.

Our Luvs have had Blues Clues on them for years...

You might have gotten some really old ones? Really, I think the different brands are good for different body shapes and pee/pooping style. I love Luvs (was a big Pampers fan until MaxDry gave poor little Colin butt burn). We are working on a toy castle for our boys (3 & 6) that will fit their 12" GI Joes.

You know what, now that I think about it, those might have been some Pampers a friend bought for me. If they were they were the cheaper ones, and not as good as Luvs. I'm loving Luvs these days.

Arwyn will be 6 months old in december so his midwinter presents are anything I can get for him second hand that will be age appropriate, luckily 6 months is one of the dates they set for some toys so should be easy.

what age would you give a sorting toy to a child?

I like Pampers the best, although I've never tried Luvs. Huggies leaked like CRAZY on Wyatt.

Speaking of Wyatt, he is 3 months and 10 days and already weighs 16 lbs!

He's moving into size 3 diapers already. Crazy giant child!

So far for Christmas I got him a little car he can ride around on when he's older that converts into a thing to help him learn to walk (great description, isn't it?), a really fun ball with all types of things attached, a Caterpillar play truck (more for my husband b/c he just started working for them), and some clothes of course. I was going to get him a toy box, but my mom decided she wanted to get that for him, so I'm sure I'll think of something else before then.

What percentile is he in now? He is probably going to grow into a big man!

It's fun buying toys for them, isn't it? I do lots and lots of review reading before I buy toys these days. LOVE Amazon because of their consumer reviews (and their free shipping!)

Huggies seem to do better on little girls than on little boys. At least that has been my experience. Any else?

BTW, I love that last pic of Olivia... so cute!!
