The new (human) baby thread...

I gave both my girls Tylenol (acetaminephan) if it was really bothering them. My second daughter had a rough time with teething and I did use some baby Ora gel. One day she started screaming non-stop and did so for a half an hour (and I mean non-stop). So I took her to the emergency room because why would she do this. We waited for three or four hours in the waiting room with her still screaming and crying non-stop. The nurses would keep coming out and checking on her because it was so odd. She showed no symptoms of being sick. We finally get into the room (and all the doctors back there had heard about the non-stop crying baby) and she stops!!! Little stinker! Anyways, she was not sick at all and all that they could come up with is that her teeth must be moving and she would soon start teething. Within the next week she started to get puffy gums where the tooth was going to come through. My first daughter I never used the Ora gel, but with my second I did because she was an awful teether.

Any teething toy is great, too. Hope your little guy is an easy teether.

thanks Chikee. I hope he has it easy too, but he's been such an easy baby for everything elso so far I kep waiting for the other shoe to drop.

He's being a bit contrary - he has teething rings and water-filled teething toys to put in the fridge... and he waves those around while chewing on his cuddly toys and harder plastic rattles.

Of course! Don't you know that toys will be tossed aside in favor of the boxes they come in?

that was where I lucked out as a child - my dad worked for a company that made cardboard boxes. We ALWAYS had boxes to play in.

Gosh, I keep forgetting to post this. Ethan's 6 month (+ 3 week) check-up was on Monday. He was 16lbs 12oz and 26-1/4" long, which put him in the 25th percentile for each measurement. Kelly, your big boy is definitely going to pass mine, weight wise, before long! Mrs Turbo, I don't think your precious little man is going to pass anyone.

ETA... he didn't have any adverse reactions to his shots this time, praise God!

Robin - Wyatt went to the doc yesterday (had a little virus) and weighed 15 lbs 2 oz. He's 3.5 months. My friend has a little boy who is turning 1 this weekend and weighs 19 lbs. I joke with her that soon Wyatt will be giving her son hand-me-downs and he's 8 months younger!

Is anyone else getting the RSV shot? They give 4 shots....one shot every 30 days.

My 4 1/2 year old was wearing 24 month clothes at 12 months old. He is still in the 90th % on the charts. He is bigger than his older sister. Little Blake is the opposite. Isn't it funny how different they can be.
My kids tend to cut teeth at 4 moths old. Doesn't usually bother them, guess I am lucky...and they start loosing them early. My 4 and 5 year olds both have the 2 bottom teeth missing. Very cute when they smile.

In here, Indonesia, we mostly use cloth diapers since Pampers, Huggies, etc.etc. are pretty much expensive compare to cloth diapers that could be use over and over again. Just need to keep up with the laundry. Pampers etc. are usually worn only when going out.
