you need to treat her neck just like you would a diaper rash....keep it clean and dry it with a blow dryer then put the aquaphor on it. If it is not working mix some antibiotic ointment, hydrocortizone cream and desitin and lather her neck until it heals. It will be messy for a couple days. My daughter had the same problem becasue she was a chunky monkey and had sensitive skin. she would also turn red in the folds of her legs. Now it is mostly the folds of her ears....LOL I just put cream on them last night and she is 5.

yeah, I used arwyn's nappy rash cream, cleared it up. putting a bib on him helps too, got to remember to change it when it gets wet though. and I put the cream on his neck when I do on his backside, as a preventative thing

I put some balmex on it tonight.. . poor baby girl i feel HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know how you feel. Just wait until the first time she falls and gets a boo boo and screams her little head off... talk about something hurting your heart.

Don't feel bad -- I know sometimes it's hard not to. When I had my first baby, I didn't know that rashes in her little rolls would happen. When I took her in for her first baby pictures, I noticed it. I remember feeling like a bad mommy. Diaper rash cream works great as others mentioned. I had to wipe her little rolly legs and under her chin a couple of times a day to keep it from happening. I'd also put some baby powder on it when I'd clean her up -- kept it dry.
