There seems to be alot of confusion as to where the new mutations came from and what the color combinations are that got some of them. I thought I would list them here for everyone
Steel- legitimate mutation no color combinations according to my sources first bred by Clifton Nicholson.
Platinum/noir opal- Combination of Opal and Bronze according to my sources first bred by Clifton Nicholson.
Hazel- Combination of Purple and Bronze First appeared as a silver pied bird at Texas Peafowl
Indigo- Combination of Purple and Bronze First bred by Clifton Nicholson
Brown Wing- First bred by Clifton nicholson. It is it's own mutation
Montana- First found by Brad legg in a flock of IB birds in montana and bred from there. It is it's own mutation.
Ivory- Not the same as the european Ivory ORIGIN UNKNOWN to me at this time.
Mocha- Often confused with the Platinum which was originally called Mocha this mutation is it's own with no color combinations.
Disclaimer in case someone gets mad. These are the origins which I have been told by a number of reputable breeders They could be completely off the mark but I think they are not. Picture is an indigo male compared with a midnight and IB male.
