The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Janie, what's going on with your chick?
She had spraddle legs. She is around 4 weeks now and doing great. I finally took her from her mom because I didn't think she was protecting her well enough. She has recovered quickly now and is visiting with her siblings daily. I'll probably have her back outdoors within the week.

Unless a tornado hits again, we are done building. Except the screw up with the rafters because they put trainees up there, they are doing a good job…it’s just getting them here. They haven’t worked a full week since they started. I know a couple guys got fired and another was in an accident a couple weeks ago.
It must be hard keeping outdoor employees in the summer time.

Some people don’t mind the heat. I think they are cracked in the head, but that’s my opinion. My son did road construction the last 6 years. He quit this spring. He ran heavy equipment a lot but he also used a shovel, so got a taste of the awful heat. I worried about him every day. It was long, exhausting hours.
The boss sent a couple guys somewhere else today as they are afraid of heights. They are in the wrong business.

Must be hard to get help there and the boss is hiring bodies that can do at least some of the work. I have to say, I'd not be real comfortable up that high. As you now know, that isn't a "shed" the way most here think of a shed!
