The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning Debby! They eventually form to your body. It's not visible when you look at it but when you lay in it ,it indents. They are hard to roll over in especially if you sweat at all! They should be made thicker too. The sad thing is we bought the adjustable bed frame so unless you want to throw $1500 out the door for that you have to buy another mattress like this. I think the next one we buy will be the best one they make, this was second in line. I used to wake up with back aches and that has gone away so I shouldn't complain. We paid almost $3000 for the set. My friend has a knock off of the sleep number which was still expensive. She doesn't like iit but her husband does. I hope you love yours for what they cost. If you don't, don't be afraid to return it.
That's exactly what I hate about our current bed. Once it sucks you in, you're stuck for the night.

We do get a 100 day trial with the new bed so if we don't like it, they'll take it back.

I'm glad your's helped with back aches!

I wonder how many will reach the hands of his staff

That will be interesting to find out

Thanks! I hope you both like yours. The sad thing is we both went together looking for mattresses and both loved it in the store. I sometimes wonder if they make a better mattress to use in stores and send an inferior product to the customer. I do have a recliner I sleep good in if all else fails.

I'm awake! Been awake since about 5:15, which is pretty good for me! The jury is still out on the My Pillow - gonna take some getting used to, I think. All those little lumps are distracting, and it felt sorta over-firm.

Kenny, Jenny, the girls, Tam and Evan are coming over for cake and ice cream late this afternoon. Kenny's birthday is today and Ken's is tomorrow. Our wonderful Sharon would have had her birthday today too. (If you recall, she's Ken's sister who had Down's and we lost her last year in February.) Funny, Kenny was supposed to be Steven Kenneth. But he was born on Jan. 9th at 11:50 pm, 10 minutes before his dad's birthday, and on his aunt Sharon Lee's birthday, so he ended up being Kenneth Lee.

Kendra went to her first real birthday party on Friday. I mean, it was her first birthday party at a classmate's house rather than just a family get-together. Jenny said she did great....no meltdowns when the little girl opened her gifts, enjoyed the cake, and things had been arranged in the house so she had good access in her chair. The family had really gone out of their way to accommodate Kendra and include her! Just had one little issue, and that was because they were unaware of Kendra's latex allergy. Latex balloons were everywhere and one of the games included a balloon game. Ooops...we still have a bit of a learning curve for her with social gatherings, I think. We should have mentioned the latex allergy, especially knowing that it was a birthday party and there would likely be balloons there. We didn't even think of it. <sigh> But Kendra seemed pretty content to just watch and giggle, and the kids' hands were carefully washed after the game. Kendra came home with a bit of a rash, but it was gone by Sunday. We'll just have to be more careful in the future to mention her allergy.....a latex allergy includes things like bananas and kiwi and such, and it's our responsibility to make sure that her hosts know that ahead of time. A light rash is still a reaction, and the next reaction could be more serious, so that's critical for her.

Other than spending too much money over the weekend and getting next to nothing done, it was a good ending to the week. Back to the routine after today....

Glad the party went well, despite the small incident. And glad she didn't have any more reaction to it than she did!

I thought the same thing about the pillow, the little "chunks" are weird, but I noticed that I feel them with my hand more than I actually feel them with my head. So I'm getting used to mine. I do like that I can easily shuffle the stuffing to adjust it.

Oh, since you bought yours in a store, like I did, how many options did they have? We only had 2 choices, and the chart on the box only reflected 2, but their website gives a selector that ends up with 4 options (I think 4), so I wonder what the difference is.

Um, I didn't even pay any attention...I just grabbed that blue and white box and went to the checkout. Options? Well, doggone it, who gives options on pillows? My Pillow, I guess.
