As ridiculous as this sounds...I'm so tired of wearing polo shirts :hit

In the good news department, it looks like we already have 2 (count 'em TWO) good employees lined up for next season. One is our current bartender, who's so much fun, and the other is a retiree who loves the course and comes out at least 3x a week. Hope they can sign on next year :fl

Good morning!

Scott, yep, the 13th of August was the last date I saw too. Hope all is ok and she's back with us soon.

Need to get in to work, we have a big order to get ready for 35 people tomorrow. The best thing about it? They're getting it "to go" so no dining room clean up :p

Hope you all have a great Thursday!

I was wondering where Blooie was too. Hopefully we'll hear from her soon.

We had a bit of a disaster. The unusual Button quail chick got squashed by poor Waddles. I was concerned that might happen as she does move about quite awkwardly. And it had to be that chick didn't it!? They weren't Waddles eggs, and were in fact her sisters. I've got 10 of her sisters developing in the incubator and she's still laying eggs so there's a chance another will pop up. Fingers crossed! If she doesn't start sitting by the time the others have hatched I will incubate them too. We buried the little body in a pot (they are so tiny) under some apple seeds our DS had wanted to grow. You put them in the fridge in a damp paper towel, all sealed up in a bag and wait for them to sprout. All 4 sprouted so we should get some little trees. They may never bear fruit but it's a fun experiment.

Hope everyone has a good day. We've had some fine weather here so the mud is starting to dry out in some places.
