Doing rounds at the hospital? DD1 once had the FIRST appointment of the morning with the pediatric neurologist. She was over 45 minutes late. Yeah I was a bit miffed since I was taking time off from work. But that was the claimed reason.

Heck, I even buy myself the presents, I know family won't get me-regardless of many reminders & hints. I wrap them nicely and put a tag that says to me from me.

You are nicer than I am DD, I make them wrap the gifts and put on a tag.

My wife has a number of cousins, I thought I knew them all. At one family gathering a few years back I was told a particular container of ice cream was brought by Sarah. Um Sarah? Who is Sarah? Apparently Sarah is DW's cousin Sally, HER I know! We had been married well over 20 years by then and it was the first time I'd heard her referred to as Sarah.

My mum once worked with this new bloke, Eric. One day Eric said "Why do you call me Eric? My name is Enrico- Henry" He'd gone a few weeks since he'd started there before he raised it. Everybody'd been calling him the wrong name.

I made the mistake of calling a new employee Henrietta for weeks. Before she coldly informed me her name was Harriet. Maybe she thought I was doing it on purpose? Whatever, either name stinks as far as I believe (and so did her attitude, lol).

It's easy to get it wrong, but with "Eric", EVERYBODY was calling him that. I don't understand how Henrietta could have let it go for weeks before telling you. Surely you'd say something straight away?

If it had been me being called the incorrect name, I would have straightened it out straight away. This gal didn't. And of course, I was responsible for training her so had plenty of opportunity to call her by the wrong name. She seemed really mad by the time she decided to correct me. People are just weird sometimes.

Um, me too. That's really sad. Hubby needed to shut her down but I guess he's a nice guy and didn't want to offend.

Still, he has to LIVE with you, maybe that should override "nice". Have you given him the key to the doghouse yet?
