The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I looks very nice all cleaned up!
I watched a little bobcat dig out a swimming pool in the neighbors backyard. It is amazing what those little things can do

Thank you Ron, yep, I was is awe of his abilities steering the bob cat and even when he was chain sawing palm fronds and "the worse accumulation of coconuts I have seen in a while" he managed to drop them all without damaging my baby trees or the coop and rescued a bird! Super Hero! LOL

I have missed a lot in 2 days ..... thought the first mention of Bob Cat was a live one :lau

Tee hee sunflour, I was not sure if you called them bobcats [bob cats] also; there is an even smaller one that is not covered and here that is called a 'Dingo'

I am definitely swaying towards keeping the little guy if the possible owner turns out not to be his owner and no-one else claims him. However, I would be happier for him if his parent is found. The guy who we think owns him mentioned on the phone that he raised him from a baby and that he probably would not have been too bothered by the chain saw because he sits on his shoulder while he whipper snips the garden. Apparently they can bond with one human and his bird was not fond of the wife ;)

I will keep you updated.

We do call those BobCats, but we also have the 4 legged types around here.:lau.

Make the "potential" real owner prove it with baby pics :D

Today my picture is of the inside of the hoop coop.

That would explain why he willingly just hopped on a stranger's arm instead of just flying away!!!

I think he probably does own him

Sadly for the little Peach Face, he was not the one that the gentleman had lost so he is still with the carer.

She is going to buy him an appropriate cage today so if the owner is found, she is going to keep the cage because she needed one anyway.

However, if the owner is not found, she is going to teach me how to care for him and we can reimburse her for the cage.

I find myself already making plans as to where he can spend his day in the garden and a safe spot for him at night ;)

You should think about putting your hoop coop build in this contest:
Official BYC Coop Page Contest - Fall-Winter 2017

You've been taking progress pictures that would be nice to include.

Think about it!
Yes, i am thinking about it. I just need to finish it. I am super fussy about security. It all has to be just so. I did put a couple of perches in today. Also working on the edges where different materials meet, to be sure nothing can get in. Painting, etc. Need to get metal paint for the door. Which means a trip to a bigger town.
We did get our flu shots today.
