The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Basically the new game plan is to let them parent the babies until they're weaned and then we'll see. scary part is she will go into heat 10 days after they quit nursing... decisions decisions....
good luck on deciding , its funny that i wanted a pet pig since i've been afraid of pig since about 12 years old and ran across a wild russian boar, luckily he didn't chase me to hurt me, he probably went the other way but i wasn't taking any chances, been afraid of hogs ever since. even wilbur, if he bit me i would have to put him down. altho i have to admit, not afraid of him -----yet

Mine love a good tummy rub... we start by scratching behind the ear and they'll plop down and roll over. HINT scratch my tummy.

I can barely see one setting in the tray and another just got out of the shell and is sleeping. Others are zipping as shells are rolling around in there like crazy.

yes. i know that everything you said is true and i've seen some pretty little things that i thought were unweaned, in fact some people we know bought one and she at 8 months of was only 50 lbs and on the other end some people we know had one that was well 250 lbs, wilbur is about the same size as the sow husband had so its ok his size except when he runs over my toes:lau, i love him and it is a pain when we go to florida for the winter but he goes too, he loves it down there, believe me i knew what i was getting in, he loves me too, likes husband but he's picked me as his person so we're good

Yeah, I think a lot of them are unweaned and often sickly as a result. It's sad :(

But awww wilbur sounds great!!

And I wonder if that pig stayed that small? I thought I read once pigs can take up to like 5 years to reach full size? So even if they seem small can grow more/grow slow? Idk if that's true or not. But yeah, sadly it seems a lot of them end up a couple hundred pounds and needing to be rehomed

That's good he likes you both though! And he sounds awesome. That's cool you take him with you to Florida.

angle he hit and speed

Ah that makes sense. My dog sometimes runs into me lol

My dog does that :lau

I promise to try and stop by more often.
Please do!!!! We miss our friends from the Southern Hemisphere. Sure hope @Teila is OK.

I'm pretty sure the forum owners wouldn't go for that, it could be misused. But we could have a "Sympathy" button which I think is the reason you want to "dislike" anyway.
