I was talking to a trapper one day down at our ranch. He had just come up on the moma and her 4 piglets. He was only about 2 days old. He was a bright orange color....I didn't know it at the time but they are born with the orange color hair which changes to black within a few days. Anyway, we got to talking and he knew I did taxidermy and deer processing....so he asked me if I had any sausage with me, I'd given some to him before...so I traded him about 10lbs. of deer sausage for Pedro.
Had the vet neuter him and removed his musk gland. Actually, a very clean animal, not like pigs rolling around in mud.

Only bad thing was he became a one person animal, and that was me, anybody else he would try to eat'em up! I really learned alot from him. The best guard "dog" anybody could ever have!

He would "alert" when anyone drove into the driveway...it was 300' long, and he would alert as soon as they turn into the gate.
