Afternoon BobEvening allHope you're feeling better soon. Sharron keep us posted. Perchie and DD I'm just impressed.
The original time I was feeding my birds and stepped on a small sheet of plywood. It skidded along till it hit a base board on one of my pens. It stopped, I was hurled forward into the pen and ground, hip first and landed with all my weight on the hip, hands were full of feed cans so couldn't brace my fall. It fractured the ball of the femur at the base of the neck of the femur but didn't fall off to either side of the neck. It stayed on top of the neck, (impacted) which sounds bad but better than if it had fallen off to the side. Also by staying in place, it didn't sever/tear any arteries or veins, so the blood supply wasn't interrupted. If that would have happened, a full hip replacement would have been necessary to repair the damaged hip.no, the original break, i remember the second time(hard to believe)

Doing well except for the little ice balls on the deck. Not snow, not hail, not anything I'm familiar with... 32* and little white balls. Maybe I should say tiny white balls, smaller than a snow flake.Afternoon Bobhope your evening is going well!
Snow pellets? They kinda look like styrofoam.Doing well except for the little ice balls on the deck. Not snow, not hail, not anything I'm familiar with... 32* and little white balls. Maybe I should say tiny white balls, smaller than a snow flake.

yeah, here too, had to be careful going down the steps when i went to feed, it rained snow pellets down in alabama a couple of years ago and snowed in atlanta, everyone was sliding all over the place , husband was fascinated that those people had no idea what snow really wasDoing well except for the little ice balls on the deck. yes, i gotta try to find that book and beat him with it(not hard tho) if i get a scratch or bruise he wants to take me to the hospital but when i try to get him to call a doctor, its a different ball of wax.Not sure of what page of the 'Man Book' it is on, but it's what we do for our loved ones. My thoughts are with the two of you.![]()
