The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

no dyc. just grew up with lots of snakes being from florida, and if i had been afraid of them would not ever gone outside, momma found a moccasin one time in the silverware drawer at breakfast, 5' rattlesnakes were quite common in those days not to mention pygmy rattlers, moccasins(cotton mouths) copperheads, coral snakes, most of the poisonous ones but we also had alot of good snakes too, black snakes, rat snakes, king snakes, greensnakes (had one of those in the pear tree that sometimes was low enough for me to catch and play with) so needless to say, i like snakes, frogs and turtles, those were the "toys" i had to play with, no dolls for me

My oldest has always been interested in snakes and reptiles. He always had some sort of critter in his room (in a cage).

Snakes don't bother me, they eat rodents. I prefer them over mice & rats...those things just plain give me the creeps! And might as well throw gerbils, hamsters and guinea pigs in the same category. Ugh!

Actually had a dream the other night, I was about to get bitten by a rattler. Evidently it was a lucid dream because I woke up from the pain it caused in my leg and the pain was from me jumping away....it pulled a muscle in my leg as I jolted up and tried to get outta bed.

going to be another week of rain, yesterday it rained all day and we had a river running down thru the yard down to the lake, when it does that we lose alot of sand out of the yard, been trying for 3 or 4 years to get the road people to get out here to correct the problem, husband took a bunch of pictures of the "runoff" from the road and will go to the commissioner after the 1st to see what can be done, there a lake up on the road in front of our place, the road people came out last time we complained and put flashing light horses on each end to warn cars but some idiots don't slow down til they hit it, THEN they slow down or lose control

You're not even safe from hurting yourself when you're sleeping!
