The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

My chickens are way tougher than I am  They're spending more time in the coop than normal and don't like walking on the snow, but other than that they look great. Finally finished molting, good appetites, etc.

So that's what woke me up, all the yelling! :gig Hope you'll get enough you'll be able to see Darth!

I'm hoping that's one of the learned facts and not one learned by experience.
Both! :old

Sorry to hear that Sean. My cataracts came from the med I was taking. They always list the side affects in very, very, small print.

Yup so legally the side effects are listed, doesn’t matter if you can actually read it or not. Or if the side effects list is a mile long and some side effects worse than what you are taking it for! Makes you not want to take it

Happened about 20 years ago, Debby. I was alone at our ranch when some illegal aliens tried breaking into the cabin. I use to always sleep with a pistol on my chest when at our ranch because of that reason.
One time I went down to the ranch, put the groceries away and went out hunting. I came back to find the cabin broken into and my groceries gone. :barnie
Went to town to get some more groceries (125 miles round trip). When I returned, they had broken in again and ripped the sheets off the beds to carry the canned goods. :he:rant
The next morning I tracked them and found a spot were they made camp for the night. I continued to follow them to a farm to market highway and lost their tracks at that time...probably got a ride. :idunno

I'm not going to 'like' that, that's just too close to home and scary. And maddening.

Kelsey, you can go to an eye doctor and they will put plugs in your tear ducts. Allegedly that keeps the tears in circulation longer. I've had dry eyes forever, well actually my left eye for whatever reason. The doctor has had me on every brand of drops there are and none helped.

My eye doctor has yet to find punctal plugs to fit my teeny little ducts, and she’s been trying since 2005. We even tried these little pellet looking things. You pull the eyelid way down and drop them in the space. Supposed to make your eyes produce more tears as they try to clean out the foreign object. So far nada. I can’t do Restasis, the prescription drops, due to reactions. Do the OTC eye drops are what we’ve been doing, and they do help tremendously. Just a pain in the hiney fiddling with that.

Agreed!! Don’t know why our only “reaction” button is “like” because sometimes we’d like to acknowledge a post that we DON’T like.

Still snowing!!!

Hey B, what does Fiona think of the snow? Will she play in it?

Brace yourselves...I just read some Valentine's Day news you all might want to be ready for...

Bad News:
For the first time in 153 years the little candy conversation hearts won't be on the shelf this year (unless they are old ones). The company was sold to a new manufacturer and they won't have time to make them for this February.

Good News:
This year clip-on beard flowers will be available for Valentine's Day. Guys, stock up now!
