The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning! :frow

Sharron - glad you found the pup. Would you like to borrow one of these for hubby? View attachment 1963063 what book were/are you reading?
thanks
i like dean koontz and he has six short stories thru amazon that since i have kindle i get to borrow for free, since they're short had them read in two evenings(only read in the evenings right before bed) the last one i finished was one by joe hill, was hard to get into that one, wasn't my cup of tea or it wouldn't have taken so long to read, called heart shaped box, that one was a new author for me, didn't like it:idunno

Believe it or not, poodles were actually originally bred as retrievers!! They are very athletic dogs!! And that stupid haircut was meant to protect vital organs in the cold water! People always think they’re such frou frou dogs and I used to too but they’re actually very athletic, awesome dogs. At least the standards. Don’t know about the other sizes. :lau

Years ago I used to spend a lot of time dog sitting a couple of mini poodles for a friend. And ex-MIL used to breed teacup poodles. Very smart dogs, but way too high maintenance for me (probably because they were all spoiled rotten).

I've liked some of Koontz' books too Sharron. But as IM will tell you...it's Stephen King for me all the way! Of course, he can't write them as fast as I can read them :p

So you like your Kindle? I have one but don't use it. There's something very nice about the feel and smell of real books :)

Yeah, I find a lot of the little breeds are spoiled rotten. Great dogs when raised right and actually trained/treated like dogs but most don’t do that. They’re their “babies” lol which is fine if they like that but some of them get such attitudes too!! Haha

I think the standards have a bit of a better attitude and not as spoiled lol

I actually prefer the look of the standard over the tinier ones. They look like real dogs!
