The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Debby, I hate dealing with hospitals and most medical establishments. As Sour says, deep breath. When I worked at a hospital the accounts receivable guy was thrilled with himself. He would terrorize medicare folks to get them to pay money they didn't owe. We had been paid the full contract price by medicare. Also, now days, if you haven't satisfied your deductible the hospital feels no obligation to honor the contract price with insurance.

okay, I know that didn't help. Sorry.

Good afternoon everyone :frow

Good morning RJ, DMC, Sour, Grammy, everyone. Happy Friday!
Hi IM my Friday is over 😁 finished cleaning and paperwork -so I'm free until April 1st !!

Hi Sue, you also. Yes, we are still open. There has been no talk of closing.
we are done cleaning and everything, so now we just keep in touch with the families each week until we go back. Stay safe

Next year when you get to FL you can try planting carrots earlier Sharron. I've planted them in November here and they did fine. If it was going to freeze I'd just cover the bed with an old sheet at night.
yes, i did kinda plant them late, to be honest i bought some seeds for 20 cents a pack and wanted to see if they were any good, they were so next time i will plant earlier, my tomatoes are getting big enough to start changing color, will have to keep them inside with heat for sure when i get home but i have no problem with that

Warning...rant ahead!

Can anything be more frustrating than dealing with a hospital that can't bill correctly?

My health insurance company is denying charges the hospital has been billing to them as an active worker's comp claim. There was an open and closed comp claim from 2017 which I was able to give the ins company the info on.

The hospital says they haven't billed my insurance company anything because they don't have anything about my insurer on file (even though I always gave them my ID card which they copied).

So if the hospital doesn't have a record of my insurance company, how did they mis-file claims to them as worker's comp? And the hospital says they also don't show an active w/comp claim anyway.

My head is spinning, this is so messed up. :barnie This is the sort of thing that drives me nuts.
:hugs

I'm glad you shared your story Bob. And (sorry) I'm glad I'm not the only one that runs into this sort of thing.

What worries me is my credit rating. I've worked so hard to get it as high as possible since getting divorced in 2010. And to think these idiots at the hospital could impact it, really steams me!

Ok, deep breaths! I'm ok (but by god, if I do get this virus, that hospital isn't getting their hooks in me no matter what)!
