The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

its mostly in the larger citys, we live in a little town area, all the towns around us within 20 miles are kinda small, pittsburgh is about 45-50 miles from us so we do go out to the stores for things we have to have, medicine , dr visits, and while i can i do go to get fresh veggies every two weeks.
hoping people use their brains and stay safe,
if we got it, would be from our son, hes a cop and of course he comes over to see us every few days
ok, enough gloomy talk
going out to the greenhouse, bread and cookies cooling :frow
I am hoping that this virus will not act like the 1918 pandemic. It that one, the first part of the infection hit cities. The second one was more widespread and hit more places

sounds like a good idea for you, and i hope you get your seeds, in some places seeds are getting in short supply, and some places(on line) they've shut down or suppose to be sending when they can, i ordered some lettuce seeds from a place i get some seeds and that was april 23rd, then they shut down selling unless you had already placed your order, still waiting for my seeds to get here, don't need them but i wanted to try new types, oh well, we shall see
I ordered my fall/winter seeds on 4/28 and they said there's a 10 day processing window so I've still got my fingers crossed! I'm going to pick up some tomato and eggplant seeds and maybe squash at the store for fall. My bet is that a lot of people figure this will be over by then or they won't consider Fall/Winter gardening far enough in advance. There are still seeds in the store here just not everything I wanted.

they're only allowing the shopper to get two packages of meat, theres eight commercial meat plants in the state and as you know, pa has been hit hard with the virus, so the plants are shut down, or low production
I feel like we've been lucky. Some stores here are limiting purchases but not all of them.

Here too! with what I normally stock and what I can buy we are doing fine.

Of course we already shopped and cooked most of our food with rare outside eating.

Why go to a restaurant when the food at home is better?

Try Hawaii.
Yes!

Nice year round temps in the 80s

There is a place at the top of the coast here in California that has year round temps in the 60s. It is not sunny enough though and many people get depressed there
