Uggh, how will you grow a garden in stuff like that in May!

Well, I think I've done enough for today, with the storm last night-the winds were crazy and blew two buckets and a kiddie pool into the bamboo Slipping and sliding down the rocks, mud and bamboo branches trying to take me out, I finally got everything back by the gator. Thankfully we have to wait for the weekend to finish moving the mulch.
Hope everyone's day is good and uneventful.

I do think you deserve a rest today after all of that

Sharron, the possible meat shortage has been in all the news. That's one way of guaranteeing we have one...everyone is going to be stockpiling it now. I think we're pretty good for quite a while, I always try to keep the freezer full.

Hopefully most hoarders spent their money on TP!

Sharron, the possible meat shortage has been in all the news. That's one way of guaranteeing we have one...everyone is going to be stockpiling it now. I think we're pretty good for quite a while, I always try to keep the freezer full.

they won't allow them to stockpile up here, on two packages of meat per the one doing the shopping, course they could go from store to store i guess,.
i've been keeping my freezers full for over 50 years, we have two chest freezers and the freezers over the refrigerators(4) also altho i haven't had that many refrigerators for that long,

I guess where there's a will, there's a way!

I've always kept stuff on hand simply because I don't especially care to grocery shop and have almost always lived quite a ways from a grocery store.

Grocery stores are close here but try to do the main shopping once a week.

It is a habit from when the stores were far away

That's for sure! We go fishing also, and I'm working on the garden. I have a shade garden because some things just don't take the sun here and filling that with herbs, flowers and cool season crops. I'm also working on a full sun garden, laying the foundation for the barrier to keep my flock out and then filling it up with rabbit poop and dirt so I can plant in fall. I just ordered a ton of seeds for that.

sounds like a good idea for you, and i hope you get your seeds, in some places seeds are getting in short supply, and some places(on line) they've shut down or suppose to be sending when they can, i ordered some lettuce seeds from a place i get some seeds and that was april 23rd, then they shut down selling unless you had already placed your order, still waiting for my seeds to get here, don't need them but i wanted to try new types, oh well, we shall see

I should maybe make a trip to town and get meat. My supply is very low. I’ve been trying to empty it so I can clean it. It’s one of them old gigantic beasts and hasn’t been done in awhile.
