Jerks abound, Debby - sorry you ran into one.

Kids left for Denver this morning. I really don't have a good feeling about this trip and surgery - can't define it but can't shake it either. Surgery is tomorrow in the early afternoon. I'm glad that Kenny's boss was able to free him up so he could be in his rightful place, with Jenny and Kendra, but kinda wish I was there too instead of so many miles away and getting news by phone. But I've got Katie for the week, so I guess I have my job to do in this, too. Prayers for them would sure be appreciated.
done Blooie, for all involved.

Hi Debby! Guess that you are right, a rotten apple was bound to pop up sooner or later. Maybe he was talking about Jim Beam? At least that prat was offset by the two older chaps. I could not do customer relations - don't have the patience for idiots, so good for you. I'll send you some valium in the post.

Valium welcome, I'll even pay for the postage, lol!

Blooie, you're holding down the fort so you're doing what needs to be done. Katie needs you to be there for her and will be a good distraction. Prayers for Kendra and all of you. Please keep us posted.

Good morning everyone!

DMC, I agree with not going back to work. You can do a lot more work once you quit your job but it will be things you want to do (mostly)!

Berts, good to see you again.

Sour, I understand completely about going back to work to get some rest. I officially "retired early" 6 years ago and haven't quit working hard yet.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. We had our first jerk customer yesterday. Guy came in with his teenage boy and young daughter. Wanted a cart and 9 holes of golf so my co-worker rang him up (only charged for the two guys, letting the little girl go along for free) and got a face full of attitude. I stepped in to see if there was anything I could do to appease him and got surliness as well as a threat to "tell Uncle Jim" on us. Guess he's related to a guy named Jim on our advisory board. I didn't tell him I'm on the board too and will be seeing Uncle Jim this afternoon. Probably thought he was going to play for free or something. Thankfully, all the other players that have come in so far have been very nice and glad to be here.

The good part of yesterday was making friends with 2 older gents. What a pair of nice funny guys...they reminded me of my dad. They bought memberships and will be coming in a lot so looking forward to hearing lots of good stories from those 2.

Tell him --

Hi DMC - don't bother going back :)

Hi Chris! I'm my own boss so I can quit if I want...I clean houses and have mostly great people. My husband said I can quit but that means I give up cell phone and tv etc. I can probably live without them but not sure that I want too. When my son gets through with his 2 years of college coming up then I'll probably quit on the young families that I have and keep my older people as I adore most of them. I'm sure I'll get stuck in a tractor doing field work if I stay home

Hi Debby! That sucks that there are people like that in this world! Look what he's teaching his children. We are all created equal but there are some that are "better" then the rest of us.

Realistically, I don't know how I ever had time to work for someone else - other than the Princess of course.

I smell what your stepping in Sour....never been so busy in my life. Add that to the fact that somehow I became riddled with ADD I'm always spinning my wheels going no where fast....:th

Sounds like a good situation to be in. I forget to turn my phone on most of the time - DW loves that:) but driving around on a tractor doesn't seem too bad.
