Yeah, I guess it has to be done...it's just never much fun! lol I'm trying to keep on top of stuff here, but it's a bit challenging. We have two of the kitchen base cabinets in the main entry, one in the garage entry, one in front of the door to the deck and one in the living room, I have drawers stashed in various locations...so, most of my surfaces are filling up...I guess that means no vacuuming or dusting for me! :gig

I cleaned the sink this morning and am culturing a jar of yogurt.

That was during my work from home break LOL!

At least I had rolling blackouts, others not so lucky. My well pipes froze and split open, despite been wrapped and covered by an electric blanket and a heat lamp in the well house.
I still haven't been able to 'fix' the plumbing in the well house. Hasn't been above freezing. Tried to fix it but the PVC just shattered, while trying to take apart, (don't attempt in sub freezing temps) I have a fireplace, Dearborn propane heaters, so I wasn't too cold in the house, got down to 60°F when the temp outside was 9°F. The rest of the time it's been hovering around 73°F.

Sunny today, expected to get to 44°F but I doubt it will reach 39°F. Will take a full day of 40° + temps to thaw out.

Getting water from a neighbor. Their outside lines froze and burst but the lines to their house did not. :hmm

Thanks for the update!

I hope you have pvc pipe to fix the broken ones. Supplies are usually in short supply after a freeze in places that do not use metal pipes for plumbing
 
A short vid from yesterday, as it started to snow again, the 5" we got in the first go around had melted in some places...got and additional 3.25". Vid of pens and some birds.

Corona and George have a love/hate relationship...Corona loves to chase and attack George, and George hates it! :lau Corona loss his 7' tail feathers to a predator, a couple of months ago? One day they were there, the next they were gone! He's been living on his own for 3 years now!

Well, on the bright side, freezing rain on snow is WAY better than freezing rain on no snow! You can crunch through it and still walk in the snow. Of course you don't need 8" of snow for that, even 1" is plenty.

@007Sean is Corona the one that escaped? And he still hangs around as a free bird?
How is the leg? (Yours, I see that his are fine).

The question about my leg....doing about like it's been doing for 2 years.
