The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning Mad :frow

You're pretty busy growing kids right now, a garden can come later :)

The class that starts today is a drawing class. Hopefully it's fun.

P.S. You can't be short because you're 1/2" taller than me :gig
You're shorter than me?! Nooooo way Debby (I rhymed your name with 'way').
I am pretty busy growing these wild flowers aka kids.

I hope your class goes well :) better share what you learned, today!
I go my Drivers license during a drought in 1976. My 1978 I thought I was a pro at driving..until I drove one day in one of our atmospheric river storms! I was very scared LOL!
Hahahah! I can only imagine! I am not a fan of driving in wet weather because it scares the heck out of me with how slippery the wheels get after a dry spell.
No ! But they amaze me because if you look at them with a magnifying glass they can move their eyeball from the inside so they can triangulate on their prey . They also have a sense of humor if you tease one it will play hide and seek with you . If you don't like spiders it is best not to fool with them . I was just trying to show another member how to tell a male from a female by looking for the Pedipalps . Those little feet they wave at their mate. :frow
I don't like spiders but my oldest son is fearless. He can grab a wolf spider by the legs, without hesitation. I see a spider on the wall and you'll hear it down the street!

There is a spider cartoon on YouTube that actually makes them look cute.

Are you up early? It's my bedtime here.
Debby ALWAYS gets up MUCH too early! She's 2 time zones after me and always posts before I wake up.

Picture? Me? :lau
Perhaps The Princess could help you.

And what I find even more irritating silly, is that you cannot grow fruit/veggies in the front yard. So, they want it to look nice and serve no real purpose...
Sounds like stupid zoning rules. Plant veggies that flower, how can they complain if you are growing flowers?

We did have time restrictions for watering. No watering during the heat of the day.
Which only makes sense, why spray water that will mostly evaporate? Besides it isn't good for the plants to be getting "rained on" in the heat of a sunny day. If they are wilting, water the base of the plant enough to revive it.

I see a spider on the wall and you'll hear it down the street!
You and my DD1! Probably hear her on the other side of town.

Hi Jae, I can relate to your green drought. The summer heat will kill everything off soon though and wind has been an almost constant companion. Do you typically get rain in winter?
We do, but the last couple of years we've had less than usual on top of droughts over summer so it all adds up to less water in the ground.
