we just got done winterizing the camper...first year owning so we weren't sure what we were doing ...thank goodness for you tube. We're supposed to get rain today so no corn harvesting for a few days. My hubby had to hook up my old washing machine as my 3 year old machine is down for repairs again...they were out for the same thing in July. It went down Sunday and repair guy won't be here until October 19th...sure glad we bought the extended warranty which is something we never do. The whole bottom plate came out.

Dang, sorry you are having trouble. And 2 weeks lead time? Guess washing machine repair guys are busier than the old maytag man was :D
Not so bad....I did it last year. Traveled from Northwestern Wyoming to Eastern South Dakota two days before Thanksgiving with 6 chickens in the back. We were taking them back so my brother could add them to his small flock. Barely heard a peep out of them, but a cecal poop or two on a 12 hour drive can get a bit disconcerting! We looked at it this way - if the weather went to Hades in a handbasket, we'd at least have fresh eggs and meat on hand. Whut? Worked on ships for the pilgrims! They were such good girls. We stopped at the halfway point and went into McDonald's for a quick bite to eat before we hit the road for the last half of the trip. I decided maybe they'd appreciate some fresh greens - or as fresh as the greens at McDonald's ever get - to supplement the food we'd put in their box. Got them a Southwestern chicken salad. So funny!! Didn't want to get them anything that came with stuff on it that was bad for them, so I asked what was on that. The young lady behind the counter said, "Greens, corn, beans, chicken - either grilled or crispy - ....." I totally lost it. I was laughing so hard I had to grab the counter. Finally spit out that I had 6 live chickens in my van that I was getting the salad for. l. She looked a little flumoxed and stuttered that she could make one without the chicken. Told her to leave it on but take off the lime/cilantro dressing. Didn't want to remind them they were on a Margarita-free trip By the time I had that salad in my hand I'd made their day - and any customers close enough to hear this conversation as well. By the way,if you ever do travel with chickens, they DO love the Southwestern chicken salad.
Omg that's funny. Thank you for sharing! I did drive from home to Lexington KY a couple months ago to meet another BYC member. Got hatching eggs and 4 bantam chicks. The ride home was longer than the trip there, because we made more stops on the way home. One was a tractor supply, and bought some feed, and bottled water for them. They would be mad if they know how many mcdonalds we passed. :p

Thanks WV! It seems nothing is made to last. My washer before this was bad right out of the store. It went back after 2 repairmen and at the 90 day return and we got this one.

Good morning Chris! I don't think I could do the inside out thing

I absolutely hate the laundromat!! I had to use that last time and wanted to cry...it's not the cleanest and grossed me out. Thank goodness we saved the old washer and it will do until my other is fixed...it has issues but will work for 2 weeks... fingers crossed!

Inside out thing - I just wait until my jeans can stand up by themselves before i wash 'em

Just talk to your old machine nicely, it'll keep going for a bit (hopefully)

Snow in May :ya   Yep, those of us in warmer climates love the idea of snow.  But in May, how could you grow a garden with snow in late spring?? :/

OMG the pics are awesome, they are two beautiful people.  Wish them a a long and happy marriage :)

Glad the heels worked out - and you didn't have to go too slow on the drinks.:D   Maybe why the heels didn't bother you, LOL.

We don't plant till the middle of June..... Done I've lived here (35-year s) I've seen at least snow flakes every month of the year.... May isn't late spring here.... That would be June.

WV, see? Blooe has proven going on a road trip with chickens can be done. Besides, you show up here with some chicks and I'll treat you and DH to a full day of golf. Now who could pass up a deal like that?

The ladies luncheon was a success! And my pumpkin desert was just fine once it sat in the fridge over night. Glad it's over but it was nice to hear people enjoyed their meals and they all plan to come out more often next year. Anyone want a 2017 summer job? I'm going to be in serious need of extra hands!
