WV, see? Blooe has proven going on a road trip with chickens can be done. Besides, you show up here with some chicks and I'll treat you and DH to a full day of golf. Now who could pass up a deal like that?

The ladies luncheon was a success! And my pumpkin desert was just fine once it sat in the fridge over night. Glad it's over but it was nice to hear people enjoyed their meals and they all plan to come out more often next year. Anyone want a 2017 summer job? I'm going to be in serious need of extra hands!

You guys did such a great job this year!! I'm sure next year will be even more awesome.

Soooo tempting to take you up on the summer job offer, but DH probably wouldn't let me go. (He's not fond of the chickens and would probably make me take them all with me! ).

I also moved my chickens from SoCal to NM in a dog crate in the back of the RAV. 11+ hours. Not exactly fun, but definitely doable.

You and your chickens are all welcome Friday! Of course, you have to share some of the eggs with me. Ooh, I do miss my chicken's eggs! And my chickens!

DH keeps saying he'll try to fix up a coop and run for a few birds next year. After some of the wildlife we've seen around here, it would have to be a very secure coop (like badger-proof secure).

DH just called the vet to find out Bam's testicle poking out of yesterday's incision. She said all we have to do is poke it back in and put some antibiotic ointment on it. Huh, what? Really?

Sounds like a job for DH...kind of a male bonding, man-to-man sort of thing.

Duh...thought the neuter thingy removed those?? But maybe they do the surgery different in WY??

Glad the Ladies luncheon went well.

I'm not keeping up well here, somewhat out of sorts for a few days - have a dental access - saw my Dentist today - and the X-ray doesn't show the tooth roots so he cannot fix it....

I gotta see an Endodontist Thursday for a consulation visit = meaning he cannot fix it the same day..

.and with my schedule may have to deal with pain and not eating for up to a week:

BTW @N F C my dentist is flying out to WY tomorrow to Elk Hunt - evidently that's a big "industry" out there?

There shouldn't be a testicle there to be poking out? Not much point in leaving them in place; the whole point of neutering is to reduce/eliminate the fighting, spraying, etc, not just avoid unwanted kittens. Perhaps what you are seeing is the stump of the spermatic cord?

Sunflour, so sorry to hear about the dental issues. That's enough to put a damper on anyone's spirit. Hope someone can get you in quickly and take care of things! And yep...hunting is HUGE out here, things everywhere pretty much slowed to nothing once the season opened.

Ok, so it isn't Bam's testicle hanging out. You all are right...they did remove them. Apparently where they tied things off, some of it's bulging out of where the incision is. Still

hope we can get it fixed up for him...the poor guy is sitting kind of funny.
