I think DH broke it by spending most of last night writing a resume and cover letter. Just plain burned it up, lol.

Seriously, we have to have some of the worst connections anywhere in the U.S.. It comes and goes for no apparent reason. But usually shuts down for a bit at 5am. Quits when it's windy. Or raining. Or lots of clouds in the sky. Or when I look at it cross-eyed.

We must have the same internet....

Thanks, everyone! Me too, Sunflour! If they decide to to this, it won't be until late summer/early fall. Then they'll do both procedures at the same time. A little riskier from a complication standpoint but far better for her to recover from this kind of surgery once than twice. What a difference it will make in her little life! It's one of those things we are looking forward to and dreading all at the same time!

I have a niece that has scoliosis. Not as serious as spina bifida, but still horrible. They tried every alternative therapy, for several years, but finally did the surgery. It was horrendous, but 2 years later, she is a different kid. I hope for the best for Kendra!

I'm in recovery mode.......

very productive weekend around the house.......lots of building.........

you know the main problem with being in your 40's?

you have all this know how, all this experience, and capability..........but you forget, once you start working, that you aren't in your 20's anymore......

You have about another 40+ years to learn that lesson. That's one of DH's most frequent complaints, lol.
