I'M HERE SLEPT IN...yay!!....I needed it....think I'll have to keep on the prednisone a while....like our friend Rachael I'm always trying to get off it
And usually I can in the summer....but it's touchy in the winter....I really need to find out what it is that sends my lungs into a tailspin.

My heart goes out to you Phil!! That's a long time to have that...my son is 19 and he smokes and I worry about that happening to him, he coughs a lot...

I don't cough or smoke....I have had asthma a long time though....I don't really know what to say about the COPD...or what the difference is....they've said it for a long time too...but at the same time it was only a few years ago my respiratory Dr said I had the best "functioning" lungs he had seen. I really don't get out of breath......it's just sometimes I have a hard time physically breathing.
Mostly in the winter months.
Low dose prednisone can keep that in check.....I just don't like taking it so I quit and sometimes that bites me in the azz.
If your son can sit it'd best that I'd for sure....I smoked when I was younger....but quit before I got leukemia....
