Wide open, just like I like it! The skies are especially amazing at night. If you aren't too exhausted at the end of the day, take a pillow and couple of blankets, a thermos of hot chocolate, and some skeeter repellent and go out and watch this month's meteor showers! I used to wake up Jamie and Little Diane and take them out a mile or two from town. We'd lay in the bed of the pickup, listen to the night sounds, and watch the meteor showers, or sometimes the Northern Lights. Little Diane was only 6 or 7 then, and now she's a married lady, but she still talks about that.

Wonderful memories to have Blooie!

Funny, I was talking to a gal in the grocery store a couple weeks ago. She told me the wide open skies kind of scare her (she used to live in FL surrounded by trees). I love them!

I totally forgot to tell you guys that I did a cath successfully! I was so proud of me, and Kendra was relieved to get Gramma's practice fumbling over with! I didn't do it the day we planned, because Jenny got swamped and they didn't make it over here, but yesterday I watched Kendra while Jenny and Katie went to a movie. She was just going to stay home with her daddy, but he ended up getting called in to work right after they left, so it was kind of a last minute, rushed drop-off. He hasn't done a cath yet, either, so it was just a "try it on my own again and see what happens this time" deal. You guys have no idea what a relief this is! Next step is an enema using the MACE button.

Leaving for Grand Lodge today. That's the annual shindig for all the Masons in Wyoming hosted by the outgoing Grand Master and installing the new year's Grand Master. This year it's in Casper, and next year it will be in Cheyenne, and the year after that, when it's in Gillette, Ken will be installed as Grand Master of Wyoming. Then that year will really get busy! Ugh!! Our outgoing Grand Lodge will be in Sheridan.

We've booked next year's cruise already, and since it's our last one for some time, we are taking Katie with us. She's so excited! That's gonna be a blast! Tam booked too, and as a huge surprise for Evan, he's going too. She talked to his dad and worked it out so we will pick Evan up from his summer South Dakota visitation early, right after South Dakota's Grand Lodge and our visit back to Sioux Falls to see my family at the end of June. Evan doesn't know yet. Katie's done a super job of keeping the secret when she and Evan text or Facetime, but she said this is "more worse than keeping a Christmas secret!" Think we'll do a "Treasure Hunt" with a map he has to follow to find the printout of his passenger confirmation sheet. Shoot, I may even pick up a cheap little Fisher Price boat and put that in a treasure box!!

Happy birthday a little late, Phil's son!!
