The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Our new bed is here.

Kind of mixed feelings about it now...the sales person didn't tell us we would have to have wifi to use all the features, didn't tell us we would have to have a specific type of cord for the motor and didn't tell us it came with one remote control (a 2nd one is another $50).

Oh, and the delivery driver, who was a nice young kid, got the delivery truck stuck in a snow bank and DH had to spend an hour getting him out.

Hmmm...well, we'll see how it goes from here.
 
Good luck, I'm curious how it will go.

We'll get it together, just more hassle than we thought it would be. No chance for the wifi but that's not so bad.

We have a 100 day trial and if it's a flop, they can come take it back (and hopefully not get stuck in the snow).

Is it one of those air ones? My friend said in the store they were quite loud.

It's a Sleep Number bed, hopefully it's not real loud. That won't bother DH (he can sleep through a train plowing through the bedroom) but I'm a light sleeper.

Do you have a smart phone? There might be an app for your bed that will act as a second remote?? I don't know anything about sleep numbers though! I believe our bed base can be run by our iPhone...

OMG. This bed thing has turned into a huge mess.

They sent us the wrong mattress, it isn't the one that goes with the bed frame. It isn't even the one that works with the mattress cover or sheets. A rather heated exchange was had with the store manager and a customer service rep...they said for us to get the mattress we told the salesman to order (the one that works with the frame, cover and sheets)...it will cost $400 more. They also were going to charge us another $250 delivery charge.

The customer service rep said she could waive the delivery charge but not the $400 difference. The store manager said he couldn't do it without his regional manager's ok. The regional manager is at a conference and can't be reached.

DH and I finally ended it by saying make it right (meaning no charge to us) or we're taking the whole thing back to them and they get ZERO dollars from us. No sale at all. For what this stupid thing costs, $400 is a pittance...especially at the risk of losing a heck of a lot more for the total sale.

So, they have until Friday. If we don't hear from them by then (or they won't give us what we were led to believe we would be getting), we're driving it back to Cheyenne and leaving the whole thing at the store.

Probably not going to be a lot of sleeping going on here tonight, our old bed is gone. I guess DH and I will flip a coin to see who gets the couch and who gets the twin bed in the extra room.

So sorry, never get rid of anything until you are sure, that has become my mantra. Hopefully they make it right. That's a lot of bull.
