I'm so glad Freddie found a forever home!! Actually it sounds more like he came in, made himself totally at home, and then just sorta wormed his way into their hearts while he was at it! GOOOOD dog, Freddie!
Quiet here this morning. I have a love/hate relationship with Saturday mornings because I don't have Kendra. I love that and I hate that!
I have been working with her on climbing up on the table. I need her to sit on the table so her belly button is about at eye level with me sitting in the kitchen chair in front of her so I can cath her easily. I haven't been able to lift her comfortably since last year.....picking her up hurts my chest. So Ken has been my official Kendra-lifter-upper. Now he can't lift her either. So she's gonna have to figure this one out. We were able to teach her to get into her car seat by herself, which was a huge help because trying to hold her, lift her high enough to put in the seat while twisting her to face forward at the same time was tough on backs. So now we need her to get up on the table by herself. Mommy's gonna love that lesson later on, but it is what it is!
A neighbor brought over spaghetti, all the fixin's for salad and brownies when he heard about Ken. It's his famous "baked spaghetti" - he's known for it. He brings it to town-wide pot lucks and it vanishes, it's so good. Anyway, his daughter has some medical issues and Ken has helped them tremendously with travel funding through a special fund that our Shrine club has set up for that. So he was delighted to be able to help Ken out. Think we'll have that for supper tonight. Didn't eat it last night because we had to go to Cody so we ate there. Good neighbors in this town, I'll tell ya!
Interesting that Australia doesn't have the death penalty......sounds like somebody needed a good dose of down-home-back-street justice. Creeps!!
