The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning!

J, happy birthday to your son

It's really interesting to hear about your Finches and Bourkes...and yes, more pictures please!

DD, you did well keeping your finch for so many years. Was that the only cage bird you had or have you had others?

@JaeG Happy Belated Birthday to your son.

@Teila Hope you get good news very soon. I had never heard of pet transporters, that will be so much easier than trying to move them yourself.

@N F C love the funnies - the sad thing is they are real. A lender recently told me how many young folks around here don't know how to sign there name...they print it. And one fellow asked him "how do you write a capital B"..

That's on my list this weekend too. It's a catch all for everything. Sadly it's to the point of bursting. Lol!
Hope you get yours done, Im still procrastinating

.

We have a lovely day ahead - sunny and warm around mid 70's today. Hoping to get outdoors for some garden work - spring is already starting around here.

Morning @sunflour

I think your weather sounds too pretty to be stuck in the garage...maybe there's some flower bed or gardening chores to do. Enjoy the sunshine!

The story the lender told you is pretty common anymore. A friend in FL told me her grandson (who was in 5th grade at the time), was never taught cursive or how to tell time from an analog clock. Seems like a sad state of affairs.

My lovely chore for today? Clean out the fridge before things grow legs and start rioting in there, lol. It's 34* and snowing outside so an indoor job or two is on my to-do list.

Have a great Saturday!

I'm jealous about your snow, but not your overall weather :>

No work outside, just visited my 2 remaining hens. I did go thru a few garage boxes - only 15 minutes...but that's a start.

Cleaning out the fridge...can be kinda scary

Glad you got to spend some time with your girls. I still miss mine.

Hey, even 15 minutes in the garage is a good start...all those minutes add up to hours.

Fridge is done. There were some strange sci-fi experiments going on in there, lol.

I made up a huge pot of beef and vegetable stew. Made a great lunch and will be nice to have later too.

Gooood morning folks

J Belated Happy Birthday to your son! I agree with Diva & N F C and love seeing the pictures of your birds.

sunflour we had quite a few pet transport companies to choose from. Had you just not heard of them yourself or is it something that there is not a market for in GA?

OMG, Teila, those temps! Way too hot.

I don't know about sunflour in GA, but I'd never heard of them before.

Try to stay cool!

Thank you … yep, not going to overdo it today and I will ensure I keep an eye on my fluid levels as well as the fur and feathered babies.

Wow, I am surprised about the pet transport. As I mentioned we have numerous companies and they even organise International Transport and do everything for you. They have 'pet motels' for those pets waiting for connecting flights etc and full time Vet's to monitor the health of the pets before flights. These are the folks I am going with: http://www.jetpets.com.au/?gclid=CLDqjbWVidICFY1hvQodZH8Cqg

That's interesting...maybe others know about this service, but it's new to me.

Kind of funny they say they ship any size animal and show an elephant. Can you imagine what it would cost to ship an elephant?

LOL ... yeah and if 4 crates containing 2 cats and 5 bantam chickens take up the whole designated pet bay on one plane, not sure where they would put the elephant
