The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

DMC, so sorry about the loss of one of your girls. I hope you have good luck catching the thing that got her. Good luck too with the broody, they can be stubborn about it that's for sure.

Beautiful flowers! No danger of overloading me with pictures like that, I totally enjoyed seeing them.

J, hope you can get a new washer soon. I've been without one before and it's a pain.

Why is it always the good ones?!

I'm ok - it's a sunny day and we have a fireplace (love our fire) so we are toasty. It's supposed to be cold again tonight, but as long as the sun is semi drying my washing I'll be happy. Our washing machine has started to not spin the washing out quite enough (some loads are still dripping) so I'm looking at reviews, researching brands, trying to decide on a new one. That wasn't in the budget, but it will have to be now! Trying to dry towels that are still soaking is not fun!
Good luck finding a machine!! I've had more trouble with my new one...it will be 4 years old in September but have had the repairmen out 4 times. I have a 5 year warranty. I would get one with an agitator if i bought a new one now.

Thanks Debby! Hubby brought batteries home for the trail camera so hopefully we can see what kind of action is going on around the coop...might be more then we think!! I'm letting the 10 week olds free range now so it makes me a little nervous.

We discovered thin sheets of ice on the water that's collected on the tarpaulin that's over part of our bantams run. Cold! And it's supposed to be even colder tonight.

Morning!

J, cool picture but boy, does that give me a chill just looking at it.

Sunflour, how are those chick-lets of yours doing? My girls (and boy) just insist on growing more every day.

Going to be a busy day today. For the first time, my 17 yr-old assistant & I are going to be doing all the lunch and dinner cooking. A little (ok, maybe a lot) nervous about it. We haven't done this before so hopefully it isn't a total disaster. And of course, it's on a day when the big shots from the refinery are coming to lunch. Oh vey.

The 16 yr-old pro shop employee has quit. He stopped coming in for work and finally his mother called in to quit for him. His reason? Someone yelled at him. The way I see it, if your mother has to call in to quit for you, you aren't mature enough to handle a job.

Hope you all have a good one, I'll try to get back later!

Good luck today Debby!! That 16 year old is in for a heck of a ride when he gets in the real world.

DMC - so sorry about your chicken, hope you can get the culprit and the others stay safe.
Love the flower pics :)

Debby, more employee issues - makes me so glad I no longer have to do hiring or firing.

JaeG - I feel for ya with the washing machine issue - I bought one several years ago and it does fine - but I really miss the agitator type - if those are available in your area, then get one. If not, good luck in selecting one that will clean clothes.

Good morning Sunflour and all! Thank you! I went out and got the SD card from the camera and we have a fox and a coon. They never used to be a problem around here but the dog can't see as well any more and he can't hear. We need a new dog but will probably never get one as get as our Bear has been. I hope we can get these buggers:(
