Whew, I need a nap.

With my 2 wonderful employees today, we cleaned 2 ovens (the super colossal size), 2 smokers (including grills), a flat top, a 4-burner stove top (cast iron no less) and a grill. Our arms quit working so will have to do the humongous frier tomorrow (oh joy).

Looking at funnies on the internet was the best medicine (and celebrating Chicken Debby's lovely new very first egg)! View attachment 1162794

That cannot be fun to clean them!! I had to clean a big fryer when I worked in a deli...Awful!

Yay, done at the golf course! A bunch of us employees are going back tomorrow though, we're going to play golf and celebrate the season with pizza

Our season is dictated by the potable water permit, it runs from April 15 to October 15. And that works out pretty well considering the weather around here. We can't be open to the public without potable water so no special events until next season.

Yes it does! Maybe not as much as it first seems as the closing down takes about a month with the maintenance crew having to winterize the equipment, blowing out all the irrigation pipes, etc. We start gearing up in March with hiring, suppling the kitchen, unpacking pro shop wares, and all that. But, it's a good 4 months for me
(DH is a year-round employee and he'll be down there every day checking on things...but, that's why he makes the big bucks, lol.)
