The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

The "closest" Sam's Club to us is about 2 hours away and the "closest" Costco to us is 3 hours away. I do like to drop in on those places about once a year, mainly for the curiosity and to see the gigantic packages

Here's my 1st (and therefore, biggest) fish! And yes, I am wearing gloves...not up for sticking my bare hand in a dead fish yet.

First fish, last fish, whatever - that's a nice fish ! After a bit you'll ditch the gloves, but be careful of holding catfish - barbels ? and nasty little sandpaper teeth.

Thank you! We're going to have him and the one DH caught for dinner tonight. :drool
Morning all. :frow

When I was young, my mom would put breadcrumbs over the trout eyes when she baked them. She ssaid it was important to leave the head on while cooking, but not important to see their eyes.

I think I'd have to do like @sunflour and cover it up with a napkin...don't want dinner staring back at me :th DH has already cleaned these guys up, so I won't have to worry about the eyeball thing.

Poor Hattie! Glad she only smoked a bit and it didn't reach her skin! Yikes! You are lucky your hubby realised what was happening!

I've been (still am) rather under the weather. My DH seems to have brought home a bug and our daughter isn't well today. It just makes you really tired!

My finch chicks are still alive but they aren't really feeding well. They very rarely beg and I'm pretty much drip feeding them. So that's tiring and frustrating. I'm at the point where I feel like if they are going to die would they please just hurry up and do it and put me out of my misery.

I had a box with some pine shavings in it that I'd temporarily put a quail in. I forgot to put it away didn't I, so our two fluffy cats decided it was a great place to sleep and they have seriously tracked it all through the house! Shavings stick quite nicely to cat fluff. Hopefully I'll be feeling up to vacuuming tomorrow.

We currently have a loan fridge and we are supposed to hear back sometime this week about what they've found out/decided about our broken fridge. The loan fridge is TINY! Our fridge was never over filled but space really is at a premium in this one. The fruit and vege bin is ridiculous! Fingers crossed it's not for much longer.

@Teila - Drop Bears! :lau The picture on the sign makes them look pretty fierce.
I hope you get your fridge back or a replacement soon! Having a small fridge is not ideal for sure
