Thanks! I dont so much mind the gathering part, its just my mom gets SO STRESSED OUT and starts freaking out at everyone its just not very fun and kind of awkward for guests. Plus I hate dressing up. It wouldn't be so bad if we prepared earlier though instead of right before guests arrive haha

That sucks Debby! It’s actually snowing here now. I threw a new bail of straw in the coop for the girls as it’s supposed to get very cold tonight. Next year I’m not making as many goodies as I can’t leave them alone...I better not step on the scale as it will say one at a time please. I just did a pecan and pumpkin pie for tomorrow. I told Colton do not touch the pecan(he just asked again to cut into it).

I did indeed get a few awesome presents, one of 'em chicken related (my wife just knows how in love I am with chickens lol).
In Germany we exchange presents on Christmas Eve after dinner which is why I'm already talking about presents.
However we're waiting until Christmas morning to open our care packages from the family in the US. Double the fun!

So, it is Christmas morning here. I made a decision that I was not going to tell you this but then when I read the first unread post, I changed my mind. I confess to feeling a little down after watching FIL open his present from us and hubby open his present from FIL. What I got for Christmas was confirmation of my suspicions of my place in this family. I know it is not about the presents and it is the thought that counts but there was no thought either, zip, zilch, nothing.

However, I log in to BYC and see I got a present … @Blooie !!!! Christmas just got a whole lot better!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all! You guys n’ gals mean so much to me and I am so happy to be sharing Christmas morning with you xoxox
