The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Tee hee Blooie what is that saying "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing?".

I was going to tell them why but figured there is not much point because nothing will change and I will probably end up looking bad. So, I figure, just quietly get out and leave them to it.

I have tried in the past to address some of the issues but kinda pushed back into my box, so now picking up my box and moving on ;)

I have been chatting to some of the long list of people who have recently left and none of us can believe that no-one is seeing a trend here. However, we all agree, they are in for a rude awakening some time in the future ;) With myself and 3 others who have recently left, they have lost a total of 58 years of experience! Mostly due to the up and coming FIGJAMS who have no idea what professionalism and respect are and are too busy scrambling over each other to progress up the corporate ladder with no regard for those below them who are the ones actually doing the work.
That pretty much sums up the entirety of the corporate world! Be glad your away from it now.

I need to catch up, started catching up but then am still a few pages behind, more so now ha but wanted to say some of my mammoth sunflowers are starting to come up! :D

I love sunflowers! You'll have to post a photo when they are flowering and have reached their full height. I can't wait to be able to grow stuff like that with the kids once we are settled somewhere. I want to grow some of those enormous pumpkins with them too.

Jae are you still hand rearing any birds? Miss the photos.

None at the moment (no time for that with all this cleaning and packing) and my last quail babies are almost fully feathered. I keep finding straw in the feeder in the aviary thanks to the little finches, but I'm about to move them into smaller accommodations and sell the aviary so I don't want anybody nesting at the moment. I'm trying not to think about moving day (not that we are anywhere near that stage, but still - I have to worry). We have so many birds to move!

DH is covering some big indoor rabbit cages with finer wire so I can have the quail and aviary birds in those. They'll have to live in the shed for now but at least they'll be packed and ready to go come moving day. It'll just be the bigger quail and chickens that need packing up after that. Plus the cockatiels, dog and cats (and kids). :barnie

Good morning everyone!

Yayyyyyy!!! The pass opened today. We can finally take 14A over to Sheridan and back home again, saving us 45 minutes over driving down to Greybull, then over 14 to the junction.

That should help with some of the traveling B. That photo gave me the shivers!

I already am! Got hot wings cooking and a cold beer, and that’s as wild as I get!

I'm holding out for the chislic!

When I quit at Subway I gave a months notice as I knew it would be hard to replace me as I was a manager. I brought several homemade pies the last day and we had a party.

Can we have the pies without a goodbye?

Hey RJ, have a great day!

Shaping up Cap!

@JaeG moving is plain hard work but it is good for getting rid of excess stuff. Hang in there, it will all get done in good time!

Yesterday turned into a long one. DH called me at 7:30 and said 'hey, the truck is here, want to come down'. So ended up doing 12 hours on my feet and today I'm feeling every minute of it. I need something like an Aspercream pill I can just swallow in one gulp so don't have to do a total body rub down. But, at last, we have our full menu!
