The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Morning everyone!

Jae, Winter is growing so fast. Thanks for the photos! Ugh, the whole moving biz is stressful...hope you find the right answer to the housing soon :hugs

Blooie, thanks for the Fiona photo! What a cutie. Teila started a new job working from home (plus finishing out her old job) so hopefully, once things settle down for her she'll be back.

DMC, love the look of your newly painted fireplace. Good looking green beans!

Sean, how's your little deer buddy doing?

Not a lot going on here. I spent a couple days with my cousin in Laramie and today it's back to work. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning Debby! Thank you! My sister goes back home today. Her son was supposed to get married this coming weekend so she took this week off. Wedding was cancelled, thank goodness. Now she has the rest of the week to herself. I hope you had fun with your cousin. We’re getting a heck of a lot of rumbling going on outside. We had a boom so loud it shook the house. I hope it didn’t take anything out.

Good morning everyone! :frow

All of you with gardens are making me jealous! I use to have a big garden every year but the deer have been eating it to the ground, so I quit. Don't want to put up a deer proof fence around it....would rather spend that money on another pheasant pen.:lau

Everyone make it a great day!:celebrate
Deer are tough on gardens, that’s too bad.

Yep, they are....and to top that off here's another one just born a few hours ago, thank goodness this one has a mama! , plus a baby Mocking bird that is fledging.
I think this place is becoming a sanctuary.

But there are just so few house listings at the moment it's not funny so it's probably a good thing we aren't done yet. I've looked into putting a house on a section, but it would be a 5 month wait for the house to be built (it's one that's made in a warehouse and transported and dropped on your section which is actually faster, and cheaper, than getting one built on site). I really don't know what we could do for 5 months, and with all our animals renting isn't an option.
Housing, at least here, is not commonly put up for sale mid winter. No one wants to move in the cold weather. Probably different in more temperate climates.

Houses are usually bought and sold with contingencies on selling old and new one ready to move in. The domino thing makes it difficult but it somehow works out. Best buyer is someone who is currently renting, no sale contingency.

Good luck!

Nice to see that the straw on Winter is changing to feathers.

I wish they were all from the garden! Just the lettuce, sorry, worded it weird. Although it was 3 types of lettuce. And hopefully we WILL have squash soon if those plants ever pick up! Lol might need to buy some new ones

And Jae, thanks. I hope you are able to rest too and figure something out, sounds stressful.

Went to a 10 o clock movie. I am getting too old for this lol
It is weird! When you get to a certain age, you will go to be early but not sleep well. There is a tendency to sleep less at night for the Elderly....Which is coming up fast for me!
